I'll be honest, there are days when I'm reading what people are posting and wonder why anyone would lurk here.

Back in the old days, people were allowed to Have a little more Fun, and you could argue with Samkow.

Now we have to read Blograkers. And the only place Sam talks is in the GDC.

My daughter has taken to reading the GDT's of other teams for the dark humor they provide (once a staple of HFCBJ). Apparently the suicide rate goes up in other threads every time we beat someone or take them to a shootout. So there's that.

All GDT are exactly the same, because the fans of all teams are exactly the same. Read any on any day, there's no difference.

All: read the last line of the quoted post above. You now know all that's necessary about Jf! Please be creative in filling in the blank: f______. Amuse yourselves.

If we're going to play "gladsome the days of old," I can think of plenty of things to regret besides the passing of goof-off-ery.

But Robert is right. Enough of this, at least in public.

She was reading me the Canuck fan cliff diving (and they are doing well), and some of their admiration for the Jackets/Bob. Can't remember any opposing team "admiration" in our GDTs.

re: Amuse yourselves.... that's the spirit!

DSL is right on his point though....there were some days 'back when', but almost none of them related to humorous things.

The beauty of Game Day Chat is you have to keep it brief. So whether you're stupid or eloquent or a troll, it disappears in about 30 seconds. It doesn't remain for people to quote and comment on days later! (thankfully)

You damn kids; git off mah internet!

In Macserv's continued inexplicable extended absence I do try to keep GDC relatively free of the usual backstab kvetching, but as a committed member of the Sunshine Patrol, my reputation makes it difficult.

Bolding mine. Great Guitarist. I think Jeff Beck and Robin Trower are 2 of the most under-appreciated guitarists...
