haven'ty they lost every game this year that they were tied going into the third?
seems they've also blown a few leads, too.
I'm at the point where i hope their worst period is the first and they can come back to win.

they are sure coached poorly to crap the bed every time they are tied or have the lead.

Shame on you Oilers players and coaches. shame on you.

My only hope is that Yakupov gets some ice time in the 3rd period.

if it's a one goal game, i think he'll get one, maybe two shifts.
it is krueger as coach. he wouldn't want to risk winning the game when a loser point might be available.

The NHL should get rid of the loser point. They invent new penalties and such but eliminating the loser point is probably the best way to get exciting hockey.

Another game... another point... the oil tanker is straight on course towards the shores of mediocrity.

Would like to see Pajaarvi get some extra shifts in the third period; he's clearly earned a couple minutes more.

Maybe Kreuger should just bench Yak in the 1st or second for a bit instead of the 3rd.

what's sad, is after the last few years, mediocrity would be a success for this town.

Just sucking back that kool-aid, praying Tambo gets a five year extension.

While I agree the east is more exciting to watch. I think you need to watch a lot closer if you think the east plays better hockey. The eastern league simply doesn't play sound defensive hockey. This is nothing new mind you and is the reason the western teams have dominated the eastern teams over the course of the last 5 years.

The finals is a bit of a crapshoot and the east could win, though I doubt it. I think you will see with the new schedule next year how dominant the western teams actually are.

The oilers would be playoff team if they played in east. Of that I have no doubt.

Let me get this straight. Nashville has only won one game on the road and Rinne is struggling. We can leap frog them in the standings to 10th in the west. But. We are known slump busters. And this is a must win game for the slim chance at a playoff push. And, Wreck it Ralph is behind the bench.

Vcash Nashville.

Last game Nashville fans were telling how crappy their team was as well and how it would be a close game... we all know how that ended up.

Rinne busts out of his slump and shuts us out. Krueger plays Smyth and Potter for 25 and 28 minutes respectively.

The East is drastically more entertaining to watch. Western conference plays a boring ass style of hockey.
