I don't think Detroit will be as good, especially with no real starting goalie(Osgood lol), and no replacements for Shanny/Yzerman. Yzerman's overall play may have tailed off in the past few years, but I think the leadership factor they brought will be severley missed.

I'm not sure the big moves made by Minnesota will help them all that much. Seems like too much at once, but we'll see if they click well.

I like the changes NYR made, there is better secondary scoring now after Jagr, they should be in the top 3 of the conference.

The rest is decent though

As I always do, I preface by saying that there is still a lot to be done, so who knows what the final product will be. HOWEVER, as it stands this minute, I think that Buffalo is going to be the class of the East, and Calgary in the west. San Jose will do well in the regular season, but as always with a Joe Thornton team, they will fade at the end of the season and in the playoffs. Personally I would put Anaheim and Nashville lower and Calgary and Buffalo higher. Oh, and you heard it here first, Boston will be the most improved team in the East.

before, i think, when koivu punched ribeiro.

anyway, there is not any indication that montreal has good team chemistry. from all acounts, they basically gave up after koivu was injured.

yes, that's why he punched him. It had nothing to do with putting him back in line. I would also like you to tell me what happened after that episode? Something like 7 wins in a row or something.

My predicition for TSN at season midpoint:

1. Toronto 15-26
Two game winning streak proves early season problems are in the past. Come April Toronto will be the team to be in the East.
...

30. Montreal 29-12
Too many question marks.

You know, sometimes a captain has to take matters into his own hands.

So Saku took that a bit literally, but I think he made his point

People forget that this was the turn-around event of this season.
