Don't know if anyone posted this yet but looks like Mario Lucia was voted onto the CCHA All Rookie Team. Co-Leading all rookies in the CCHA in goals with 12, which is also second most on his team.

CCHA All Rookie Team

The kid gets very little attention on this board but he is really producing well for a rookie on a good Notre Dame team. Not to forget he was coming off a broken leg and missing most of training camp and 9 games to start the year. He is 5th on the Irish in scoring after missing all that time. I like his goal scoring potential.

So Notre Dame lists Lucia at 6'3", don't know why I thought he was a smaller guy. Size, work ethic, and now he's putting up goals? Sounds excellent.

He's 6'3" but lanky as hell. Saw him on the WJC premiere in Helsinki vs Sweden, he only played in the PK though.

That said, he still has time to fill that frame. Could be a great goal scorer for us in the future, something that this franchise really lacks (apart from Zucker). He sounds very similar to Graovac, too. Both are goal scorers, tall (6'4" for Gray), lanky and skilled.

So, the QMJHL playoffs start soon and we already know which team the Drakkar will play in the first round. #2 Baie-Comeau vs. #15 Sherbrooke.

My prediction: BAC in 5.

I'm expecting Bussieres to have some big playoffs performance. BAC might go far this season.

Lucia has been getting some props, but I think most posters are trying to be patient with him, as they should be. If people start acting like he is they next big prospect, they are going to be disappointed because they are going to be waiting for some time. But if people realize that Lucia has a couple more years of development, they are going to be stoked when he actually makes the Wild. Kid could be a real stud in time.

Agree 100 per cent with SHULTZ post.
2011 drafted kids, Lucia/Phillips are both kids we need to be patient with--both are very young are just starting to fill out physically.

You can get them on the Q site but you have to pay.

Bussieres and BAC could win it all.

I was a big Dumba hater as you guys might have knows and while i would rather have Trouba/Linholm over him he's a very good pick.

I'm starting to like the pick alot, also i'd rather have dumba then Reinhart any day of the week.

I'm still excited about Dumba. His shot is something we could really use on the Blue-line.

At this point it doesn't look like we made a good pick, but I still wouldn't draft Trouba. It was Grigorenko then and Grigorenko now.

Yeah I mean he may not be having the year points-wise that he did last year; however, he'll probably end up (if he plays the same amount of games as last year) around 7-10 points lower, but +15 or so higher. So, really not all that bad of a year.

I guess I just think people hate on Dumba. He had some struggles, but I think that had more to do with a little bit of post being drafted duldrums so too speak. He's really picked it up since he's gotten a taste of the big leagues.

1st line center potential I was very into him as well at the time. I do like a defenseman pick but whatever. Hindsight is always 20/20

Haula 2gp 0-3=3
Graovac 4gp 1-4=5 +1
Brodin 3gp 1-0=1 +3
Nanne 2gp 1-2=3

PHILLIPS/GRANLUND WATCH
Phillips 2gp 1-0=1 +2
Granlund 2gp 0-2=2 even

NOTES
Coyle's been on that top line for a good while and he's not really producing. I'd like to see someone else get a shot there.

Cuma back from injury.

Medvec seems to be quietly playing well. He's got 5 goals on the year and is a +5 as well.

Bulmer though. Yikes.

Mikko Lehtonen seems to have surfaced with Zurich of the Sweiss-A league?

Colton Jobke a -6 over the week.

I still like him there. I am probably in the minority but I think he makes great dump ins, is awesome on the forecheck, cycles well, and has created some good scoring chances.

I can see, though, that his lack of production could warrant a change. However, I don't think he's being ineffective out there (not being in on the forecheck, turning pucks over, missing his d coverage, etc.).

I had to look up Anthony Hamburg to figure out who he was. I completely forgot he existed/was in the Wild system.

And now that Graovac has had 30 games with both his teams this season, you can really see the difference in his play. Wow. Points are the same, but his +/- is outstanding.

Yeah, you also see the goal to assist ratio shift as he has talent around him to pass to.

Was able to watch Nick Seeler for three games down in here in Kato. Not a lot of positive things to report. He wasn't getting much ice time--definitely 3rd pairing. In game 1 it seemed like the only time I noticed him was because it was scramble mode defensively. Not a good game. In game 2 he was nearly invisible. Can't think of one thing that stood out. In game 3 I thought he played better and actually got very physical. He made a big hit on Eriah Hayes, who's just a beast physically. Just to attempt that hit was very aggressive. Seeler is listed at 6'2", but he definitely needs some filling out. Seemed to be pretty mobile, but he did take two penalties as well in limited ice time. It's going to take some time if he makes it.
