Wings needs are identical to what they were during the offseason.

Top pairing D
Top line winger or a couple top sixers.

That's basically it. They have a plethora of guys who should be playing on the bottom 6 or should not be on a team. Further, they have plenty of 3-6 D men.

This would likely be a move Vancouver makes if they can move Keith Ballard, or Andrew Alberts.

What about (as part of my earlier proposal)

Vancouver
Yannick Weber
Travis Moen

Montreal
Andrew Alberts
Tom Sestito
4th Round Pick

That's a Stanley cup roster there. A bit of everything.

IMO even after getting a roster like that, the goaltending situation is going to be a distraction even come playoff if one of them has a bad game they want his head. I know some say its a positive to have the goalie depth, but going forward I think it hurts the team especially when it could backfire in the playoffs when it really matters.

I think after this video Schneider and Luongo did with Duthie... No one is worried about the controversy.

Hawks need a faceoff winning C, ideally a #2.

Ottawa needs a healthy lineup so we can figure out if we have any issues, IE can Latendresse and Lundin be counted on for solid minutes.

Theoretically, we need a Defensive defenceman, but our team is playing above themselves.

As for what we have to offer, I see no reason to keep Regin around when we have hungrier players trapped in the AHL (DaCosta) willing to fill his spot and likely add better results.

Which professional? Strickland, who makes up crap? Or Dreger, who throws so much crap against the wall something is bound to stick? Being a professional means you get paid, not that you do a quality job. Cam Jansen and Mario Lemieux were both professional hockey players.

Answer me this: When was the last time a playoff bound team traded their top-scorer who hasn't publicly asked for a trade?

Agreed.

I would also add that it would help to have someone who can win a faceoff against Plekanec, and having another RH shot on the point on the PP wouldn't hurt.

If Ottawa is to make a trade, it is most likely to be for a player under 28 who is signed to a reasonable contract. For example, Antoine Vermette would be a good fit but is likely older and higher-paid than we would want.

Leafs likely looking for a top 4 right handed D, physical and good defensively, to pair with Phaneuf. Basically what Komisarek was supposed to be when we signed him in FA.

And of course the ever elusive centre to play with Phil Kessel.

Trade chips likely are any dmen other than Phaneuf, Gardiner, Rielly, Franson, and probably Fraser at this point, as well as Grabovski up front, perhaps Kulemin or MacArthur as well. Oh, and Tim Connolly.

I don't think anybody is "available" per se, but any of Niskanen, Despres, Kennedy, or Jeffrey could be had in order to upgrade our need on the wing if the right price is met. I think prospects and picks would be the first to go before the Niskanen's of the sort, but definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
I really hope Shero does not move Despres. If he does it needs to be for someone like Stewart. Obviously the Pens would need to add substantially but Despres is special and with his size he could really be impressive in the future for the Pens D.

Rangers need:

1. A third line center
2. A second line winger
3. A righty scoring D

Gaborik and Boyle are two names that are almost assuredly available. Could see DZ going in a shakeup trade, but I doubt it.

Fairly ridiculous comment. You're something of a fool if you define Andy Strickland as "a professional with inside connections and plenty of credentials." That is literally one of the most pitiful things I've ever read on these boards. You have no idea how seriously our fan base takes Strickland, which is to say, not at all. He is literally a joke. If more people knew who he was I'd punctuate conevrsations with " ... at least that's what Strickland says!!" (everybody knows to laugh). Strickland has the grammar skills of a fourth grader (not even joking) and I have it on good authority even our beat writer disdains him.

I'd imagine Gillis is willing to move:
Raymond/Booth/Ballard/Alberts/Sestito/low picks/Schroeder

Need to have:
-3C

Nice to have:
-bonafide top 6 scorer
-legit PMD
-bottom pairing/role D
