Cal men's basketball team plays in San Jose on Thursday (against UNLV). Practically a home game. Thanks, NCAA seeding committee!

UNLV just got to play the MWC tourney in their own building. I don't feel bad for them at all.

I should add context to my last post: I went to UC Berkeley and I do not go to UNLV. A fair amount of my current classmates did go to UNLV, however.

Tell them to thank their team for tanking their last reg season game vs Fresno and forcing my team (Wyo) to play NM, having played the night prior.

But Cal lost a home game to UNLV already this year.

UNLV lost twice to a bad Fresno St team. They can be beat.

I've mentioned before, but I was the manager @ Pacific in my college days, so of course I am beyond JACKED for the Tigers back in the tourney! Even if it's against Miami.

If anyone's interested, game is on TNT Friday 2:10 ET (11:10am PT). I would go (it's in Austin, I'm in Dallas) if I wasn't so busy with work.

HUN-GRY TIGERS CLAP CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP HUN-GRY TIGERS CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP

Let's get (at least) one more win for Coach Thomason, who is retiring after this season!

i was living in Pittsburgh when UOP upset the Panthers. it was glorious. nobody out there had even heard of the school. they were even more incredulous when i told 'em Stockton was nowhere near the ocean.

Sucks for the Browns since he was their best player.

LOL that's great! Actually, if you recall, UOP was the 8 seed (they were ranked like #16 in the AP poll) and Pitt was the 9 seed, so it actually wasn't an upset.

For what it's worth, Chine Figgins (released by Florida) played for Bochy on All-Star tour of Japan. Played well for him, too.

UNLV, NM, BSU all go down in the 1st round. The only MWC team to advance was CSU, with SDSU playing tonight.

Didn't comment yet on the thread, but disappointed (obviously) that Cal is out. Wish Montgomery coulda figured out how to get Crabbe and Cobbs more involved against that defense.
