I **** on nonsense, to say all you see is nothing showing you he'll be more than a 5th is IMO just that. He's not the same guy he was last season, not aggressively, he's coming off a big injury, it's a shortened season, and I think it's ridiculous to make that assessment. Take the full Gudbranson into account.
Frankly, I don't think anyone is what we're gonna see next season for the most part, except the kid line. I think Matthias will continue to improve, but he is what he is. But the guys playing poorly? How much are they on the ice? How bad have the goalies been? You simply can't look at +/- this 'season.' Not with the holes in net.
Defensive breakdowns are awful, AHLers showin us why they belong there, the lists go on.
To add to the mention of his being stuck with Jovocabe, Tallon even slipped on his not being healthy yet.
Patience yall! Its been over a decade, one more summer before one hell of a ride.
I'm feeling it has to be it too. Sad way for him to go out, regardless of his play.
Very sad way. But one saving grace we have is that Jovo returned last season and brought as back to the playoffs for the first time in a decade. One last time he got to experience the roar of Panther fans during playoff hockey.
This season may have been rough, but I think we'll all remember last year with warm hearts.
Looks like we may have yet another Captain controversy. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Clemmer will shine. I am pretty sure. We are overdue for a loss.
I would be more worried if they get one of Mac or Drouin
Honestly I'm not that worried about them getting Mac or Drouin. They already have a lot of good young offensive weapons. If they ever solidify their defense and get their goaltending figured out, they're gonna be a very strong team.
Love the top prospects in this draft. Unfortunately, we have some stiff competition from other determined tankers. Tampa and the Avs worry me the most.
Given the sellers market, we should be able to get a late first for Goc with a year left on a reasonable contract. Tallon needs to pull the trigger now before he helps win any more games.

Who fills in? I don't think talking will sell off some solid guys because we're in last place in an injury-riddled, shortened season. We'll see moves, but I'm hesitant to say who.

Absolutely. Matthias has shown he's a good 3rd line center and has the upside to be better than Goc. Having Matthias or Goc as the 4th line center next season is a waste, especially of money. Smithson is an OK 4th line center who's great at faceoffs, and he'll be cheap. Goc could fetch us a nice pick.

Agreed, Goc is becoming obsolete. Mathias does everything he does except better imo.
I think both Matthias and Goc are both useful in some different ways. Although, due to age and development, Matthias may be more useful down the line. Goc is great at faceoffs and has the experience over Matthias. He's been less noticeable without Bergenheim to play along side with this season. Matthias has shown signs of becoming a great 3rd line center this season and is putting in so much more effort that I hope can stay for the future. At least for next season, I'd like both of them to stay and see what results can come.
