I'm not gonna complain about Zajac's contract, or say he will play like this forever. However he shouldn't be on the 1st line in games 29/30 of a 48 game season where a couple more losses will move us to 10th place. Also in a stretch where we've won 4 games in a month. He hasn't done squat this year to belong on the 1st line other than the first two games of the season.

Get Rico or Patty up there. Zajac on the 1st line with Kovy is stinking up the joint something fierce. Give him a shot next year to get back on the 1st line, or later this year if he picks it up. GTFO the 1st line please, no time for experimenting or screwing around right now. We aren't in that position anymore. We were in that position 3-4 weeks ago, and because of the teams results the last 3-4 weeks we've used that up.

did you see the incident where he was injured? Was he able to walk off or was he hurting bad? Thanks again.

The declared it a lower body injury last night. It's probably a groin.

That sucks for us because he was playing some damn good puck. When he's not overpassing to kovy he works great with him...

What's going on with Fayne, seriously? Why do we have 8 caliber NHL blueliners when we can only dress 6 at a time... and we're in desperate need of some secondary scoring and the only moves that are being made are waiver pickups?

Can someone explain to me what the idea is behind carrying 8 NHL d-men and not moving SOMEONE not named Larsson or Greene for a freaking forward? Just the fact that our blueline is a revolving door can't be good for anyone. You need stability and when you don't have that, you mess with the confidence of your own players wich is never a good thing.

I see no reason why lokti can't be a ~60pt center in his prime playing with Kovy for a full year. His game is much more suited to center kovy than trav's...

I'm fairly close to believe it's one of those seasons where continuously luck, bounces and other intangible factors don't go your way.

ive seen nothing but potential in loki and i love it. i dont doubt he can be that 60 point pivot. and if they get an actual hockey player to flank them, well thats just gravy. trav has no ****ing excuse. hes our richards. on a better contract of course. and much more lovable with his dashing 8 year old swagger.

Expect Martin Brodeur (back) to participate in at least part of the Devils' practice later this morning.

I always said to myself that when Marty retires it will be due to his back. You can see it from the way he plays. He crouches a lot due to his style, and the past few years you can really see it when he gets up from being down on the ice.

Hopefully he manages to keep it all together for a few more years.

why? it was basically agreed upon that fayne is one of our 3 best defensemen and zids is terribad defensively and his pp skills obviously havent helped much bc its been awful as well. id rather have a d unit that could stop goals than one with soft turds who give the other team more chances than they themselves create. also he's redundant with harrold. take out harrold for fayne if you like but imo zids deserves a rest/to ride the pine for a few.

I wouldn't expect him to play tomorrow, but at least there's hope for Thursday.

Zids has half the fans in a trance with his down deep O zone dangling but I'm immune. His costly turnover last game is just typical of his F quality defense. The #2 is so appropriate for him to wear.

My favorite Zidlicky shift this season; (click pic for vid)
