Great news, though. He'll be ready to go the next game.

It really is funny.

No PMD? Cry that Lou doesn't get one.
Have a PMD? Cry that he isn't good in the dzone as well and call for a benching

You realize a PMD that can dominate in his own end would be considered a #1 guy right? And you know we gave away a voltron deal for Zidlicky?

You're making to sit Zids a personal affair. If he's traded for the guy, I won't miss Zids one bit. Nonetheless, no matter how you spin it, we're desperate to get more of what Zids already brings to the table, shots on net and showing up frequently on the scoreboard. Calling his numbers a fraud is quite unfair.

Yep and once he (our top offensive producer on D) is gone, it'll be the same old we need a PMD cries again - there are very few offensive minded defensemen that are solid defensively as well, Zids has been fine, it's like Foster was forgotten about, you want to talk about bad defense? Zids could be far, far worse

I'm just scared for what the reactions will be once some of our D prospects who are treated like the second comings, don't live up to the hype

again, oduya is a solid B+ in his own zone and in the offensive zone. not the best, and far from the worst. he, given his age and contract, wouldve been the perfect bridge to bringing up and developing our string of upcoming d talent.

i wasnt crying for a pmd and in no way did i view zidlicky as some savior hahaha...im not saying permanently bench him. im just saying hes been horrendous lately, one of our 3 best defensemen is on the pine, zids is 36 and hasnt sat a single game, put one of our best defensemen in for a struggling old player. is that crying and/or crazy?

man you guys just love to criticize/crucify people over nothing...

He's likely gone at the end of the season anyway, which looks to be sooner than later...

We're having insane trouble to get shots on net and even more to score goals. Let's sit a defence-man that is really close to get a point every 2 games and has 25 more shots on net than his following defence-man.

I'm speechless.
Hedberg's fault.

The trashing Zid is taking for the last game is insane. Yeah, he ****ed and it resulted in a goal against. It happens but you have to expect a mistake or two during a game. It's really only an issue when the team is just making stupid defensive mistakes one after the other which was par for the course up until about a week ago. The Montreal game wasn't like that for the team or for Zid.

Anyways, you nailed it. The team is struggling to score goals and has a difficult time recovering from one major mistake. How the hell can you expect to win like that? They have basically no room for error. But this is what happens when you don't have adequate replacements for injuried players and some of your top guys have been out to lunch for weeks at a time.

He brings a dimension to our defense that greatly lacks, not to mention he is our leading scorer at his position, you don't sit your leading scorer just because

Nobody is crucifying anybody, there are a ton of silly and unthoughtout reactions coming about and they are being pointed out as such

Guy gets number one pp time. He should be our leading d scorer. If Larsson had all the pp time and Zids had 0 he wouldn't be our leading scorer...the role he plays requires him to get points. If he doesn't hes literally of no use. Harrold can man the pp and Larsson can IMO. I think we'd be a better team with Fayne in and in no way is that "underthoughtout".

So Chico was right about the pinched nerve comment, or at least that's what Marty said his injury was.

Zids has 1 PP point, the other 12 are ES...

I don't think there is anybody that disagrees with Fayne being out, but for him to come back in at Zids expense, does not make sense

More like 8 pp points...he's got 1 ppg 7ppa...now doesnt that change the argument...guarantee he wouldn't be our leading scorer if he wasn't hogging all the pp time. UNLEASH TEH LARSSON!

Travis? I would have a better chance of winning the lottery

No, but really. If i would count on someone stepping up their game, it wouldn't be him. Maybe, Clarkson. He's struggling too, but he has good games against the Rangers.

Travis is just meh at this point.

I don't agree with Fayne sitting on principle, but the reality of the situation is nobody really deserves to come out of the lineup now, Fayne's been awful since they started the d-merry go round and they can't afford to keep screwing around with pairings and roles now that the Devils have only a tenuous grip on a spot.

Travis Zajac is having a Claude Lemieux-esq 48 game season. But the thing about Lemieux's 1995, he came alive in the playoffs. Starting game 1 in Boston he was a new player.

To be honest, Marek has 8 PPPs and 5 ES. But Kovalchuk has only 3 more PP points than for 60 more minutes of PP total time.

I would ideally like to bump out Barch, Kostoupolis, and Pesonen come playoff time assuming we make it.

Re-unite CBGB on the 4th; Clarkson and Poni on the 3rd with Zajac (); Zubrus, Henrique, Elias, Lokti, Kovy, and a forward from trade to round out the forwards.

Assuming we get healthy of course.

Yea I read his PPG total as his PPP total, but either way, he's got 8 points on the PP and 5 ES so its not like he is only getting points on the PP, he's doing the job for the role he is in - Zids also only sees 2 minutes and 2 shifts more a night than Larsson and when it comes to the PP, I'm not too comfortable with Larsson there because he takes too much time and isn't confident in ripping a shot
