After watching last week's Office I'm not touching cake/cupcakes/muffins unless I purchase them.

On top of the Oil Kings' success and the Edmonton Rush lacrosse team's surge over the past several weeks there are plenty of sports related distractions around the city. Screw the Oilers.

Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera is picking up right where he left off last year (at least in Spring Training). He's batting .382, has 3 HR and a team leading 14 RBI in Spring Training.

I'm going to be doing some recruitment for mechanical engineers, power engineers and skilled labour positions in Edmonton. What are some of the best school to recruit through?

NAIT and the UofA. UofA is BSc. Mech.Eng., so if that's not the level of education you're looking for, then just stick to NAIT.

Ya it depends.
Do you want the engineers to lift things or just think...

The Blue Jays did the right thing this afternoon by optioning Ricky Romero to AA Dunedin. He has a lot of stuff to work on.

I presume that the starting rotation looks like this:

Dickey
Johnson
Morrow
Buehrle
Happ

I think they're actually ordering it like this given the projected pitchers for the opening series:

Dickey
Morrow
Buehrle
Johnson
Happ

I'm glad the Jays made the smart move and stuck with Happ. He has been fantastic so far this spring and he also pitched reasonably well for the Jays down the stretch last year after the trade.

The guy I'm worried about is Johnson. The Jays need to get this guy locked up long-term - if he keeps pitching like he has in Spring Training, he could be in for a huge season and an obviously huge pay day. He's always had the potential to win a Cy Young and with Dickey and Buerhle being fairly old and Romero looking iffy, it would be nice to have Morrow and Johnson to build around long-term.

Does Rexall Place have claw machines? I've never been there before and lately I've been on a bit of a claw machine craze. Does one need a ticket to enter the building?

Does anyone know wether a box liner from a ford f150 2000 will fit in a ford f150 2008? They both have the same box length but I'm just wondering wether or not there was a design change.

was never, ever a fan. He was a character though, and obviously had respect for him. Marched to the beat of his own drum. Anyways, RIP.

Oh god did anyone see that injury Kevin Ware had in the NCAA tournament? His bone was outside of his skin! I won't post an image because it made me sick just seeing it...

Yeah i mentioned it in the other thread, gotta be the worst injury i have ever seen
I'm usually ok looking at stuff like that but this was next level gruesome.

I really feel for the guy his basketball career is over before it even started. The NCAA really mistreats their players i read this article explaining how college basketball players are not paid while NCAA basketball makes some $780 Million a year frorm this tournament whats worst is there is a chance him and his family will have to pay the medical expenses NCAA appaerenly rarely Covers medical bills. He might even have to pay for the rest his education because most likely he did not have a full 4 year scholarship.

If all this does happen, well it really sucks for the kid and his family/future and should not be happening

Edit

There are no graphic images in the article

The reactions of the other players on the floor sums up my reaction pretty well.

That was just gruesome looking.

I'd say Sawmill, at least personally. Never really liked Moose Factory. Been there maybe 4 times in my entire life.
