Jarnkrok was off the table in the Rick Nash discussions. That should tell you all you need to know about his actual value to the Wings. There is nothing short of a young top 6 center that he will be in a package for. He is a poor mans Backstrom he is going to absolutely kill it on the PP.

Will be interesting to see if they bring him over in the next couple days or let him stay for the World Championship team. Where he could play a rather large role. Still think he has been carrying an injury all season as well, he kept sitting out the EHT's since about November. So he might just need the rest. But keep that in mind when you look at his numbers which actually improved slightly without Silfverberg.

Lindberg is playing on a stacked team that won the ES pretty easy. He is currently playing as third center.

Järnkrok plays on a team that has been really bad since new year. He's pretty cemented as their number one center. And is really important to his team.

PS: They are playing each other right now. 3 SOG by Järnkrok 12 min in of the first period.

Btw, Skelleftea AIK broke the records for most wins in a season, but sadly not the point record.

On forward they have 4 drafted players (Lindström, Holloway, Lindberg and Oscar Möller). Möller was hurt half the season but he scored 18 goals in 28 games). Möller and Holloway plays together (ofc).

On def. they got Petter Granberg (TOR) and John Klingberg (DAL) as drafted players and the goalie (Eriksson) was drafted aswell, but Philly didn't sign him.

Some of the others are high quality ES-players (Martin Sevc (d), Jimmie Ericsson (fw, Jonathan Ericssons older brother) and Niclas Burström (small off d).

My point: It is a stacked team, but if Lindberg can find his consistency he can be good.

Imagine the value of a right-handed Zetterberg at age 21, and you have Järnkroks value... no kidding.

Plenty of Swedes think Jarnkrok has a better skill set than Silfverberg and higher potential. One of the best play making centers in the SEL definitely benfitted from one of the best shooters last year, but JS definitely benefitted from having Jarnkrok threading the needle for him

Could Red Wings bring Järnkrok right away to North-America?

He is 5 minutes away to finishing his season at SEL.

And he's out.
The problem is if Mårts wanna use him in WC. But if he really wanna leave I think he will.

1+1 for Lindberg in the game.

Both of our swedish prospects, Lindberg and Fasth should have deep playoff runs, which is music to my ears.

Yeah, Jarnkrok is 100% untouchable. The Wings have a lot of really nice prospects, but Jarnkrok and Sproul are the two that will under no circumstances be leaving.

Jarnkrok is elite defensively, has better tools, and was the only good player on an utter crap team this year and still somehow produced offensively. He was also hurt the whole season.

What would it take to see Jarnkrok and Silfverberg playing together? NHLers at Sochi

Sweden got more proven player than that, but if Silfverberg start producing some he might be in. Järnkrok must have a really good start of his rookie season to be considered for Sochi.

Which is why if he wants to be in Sochi he should probably be in Grand Rapids sometime by the end of the week.

He did the World Championship team last year. Really hope the Wings bring him over to North America right away.
