OT: Benefit concert for Lebanon, Thursday 3rd of August

There will be a benefit concert for the Lebanese people (through the Red Cross) this thursday at 8pm at the SAT (1195 boul. St Laurent) featuring Patrick Watson and Lhasa De Sala. 10 bucks per ticket. You might have seen a report on this at the CBC today. The concert will be re-broadcasted in Beiruth.

My friend Marc Dfouni, whose brother is stuck in Lebanon, has organized this. Come enjoy the music and do a good deed at the same time.

Is there a benefit for Israel too? That would seem only fair.

It would be fair only if it was 10 times smaller than the one above.

Maybe Mel Gibson can organize it.

Dude...That is so wrong.

Even the Jewish diaspora is starting to hate Israel! Serious! The Jewish community of Montreal is siding with the Lebanese folks in the protests! And I don't blame them, they are Quebecers, people of peace, it doesn't matter whether you are Jewish or Muslim, or whether you're an ethnic Arab or Jew, once you live here, you are one with the hive!

The Israel attack has not only killed more innocent people than Hezbollah has killed Israeli soldiers and innocent people, they have killed more innocent people than there ARE Hezbollah terrorists total. On top of that, Israel has displaced thousands, tens of thousands, HUNDREDS of thousands of innocent civilians, forcing thousands out of Lebanon, including around 10,000 right here in Quebec.

Your Israeli benefit event would turn into a riot. Seriously. And it has nothing to with anti-semitsm. Look at me: I love Borat and he's as Jewish as Gefilte Fish. But the state of Israel? Warmongerers. Promoters of hatred. Partners of the United States Of America, United Kingdom & Red Canada in Crimes Against Humanity. And you think that I would give money to ISRAEL?!?

A death's a death. I'm saddened that those terrorist ******** do attack civilians. But they are killing less than Israel are killing. They do not force the movement of population Israel is causing.

It's a nice idea, but there are other places you can advertise this.
