Nah, given up on the game. Rangers will score early, lock it down for the rest of the game.

So says my great predictive mind.

Because anything else wouldn't be Carolina Hurricanes hockey.

You'll know when you go.

He's tentative and thinking too much. That's what that wipeout at the blue line was about. You could tell he was stuck between going for the puck and getting back in front of his man. He ended up doing neither because he was trying to do both. And losing that footrace with Stepan, looked like he was stuck in mud. Poor kid's confidence has to be at an all-time low right now.

Sooooo...do we now start complaining that the other Staal has noone to play with??
Sad, but Bowman has been the best player on his line. He is starting to look like he belongs in the NHL.

Jokinen is the new line killer. Wherever he goes just ruins the other guys.

I feel bad for Skinner, I truly do, but right now JR has to be watching him and looking at his salary coming up next year and re-thinking him long term. Does he really want to be spending $4 million and then $6 million on a guy with a concussion history and a fragile ego who doesn't play D and doesn't use his linemates? I wouldn't.

His signature moves not working against NHL defenders anymore + jealousy of Semin = what we're seeing now.

Awesome interview Lewis.

"In the first period we had a lot of shots and they didn't have very many shots. In the second period they had a lot of shots and we didn't have very many shots. So in the third period we need to have a lot of shots."

High quality stuff there.

Because Staal's call was because he used his stick to push Lundqvist's pad out from under him. Despite what Tripp seems to believe, Staal being pushed had nothing to do with it.

As an aside, I hit my second toe on the doorway a few minutes ago and I'm pretty sure it's broken. Hurt like hell, is already swollen and turning purple. And it's crooked. Can that wait another 40 minutes?

With interviews like that I should sign up to be an assistant coach for this team.

The $$$ would be nice.
