I think Niemi is mentally fatigued and could use a rest. That's why I was hoping Stalock would get the start.

Me too. The bad angle goals and the bad reads on playing the puck behind the net are signs hes mentally tired.

To continue the frustrating case of McLellan's employment the Sharks suddenly score alot of goals this game.

Well then at the very least we'll have 1 night to be happy before the next game where we'll hate them again.

I wish Shepp could get some time on the 2nd line, even for a shift. Guy has played his heart out with no one to help him.

Meh, you got me. But I feel like he's earned some time up there, Pavs has fallen off a bit, for the time being

Edit: And considering TMac loves his line shuffling, I'm shocked he hasn't tried it. That i've noticed.

That's because he fell victim of the Joe Thornton syndrome. It's where a player stops trying because they know Thornton will carry the play, save them and get them some points. Since he got moved off of the line where now he actually has to contribute he sucks because he's forgotten how to do anything other than "pass to Joe" or "wait for pass from Joe". It happens.

I hope he doesn't catch the "drop pass to no one" syndrome...

Here's some food for thought, in case you're hungry.
The #SJSharks scored 11 first period goals in their first five games. They have 11 first period goals since then (22 games)

Meanwhile Joe himself has caught Michal Nylander syndrome where he believes that "pass the puck" is plans a through f, and that he isn't allowed to shoot at all, thereby allowing the defence to completely gameplan for the pass and shut down the lanes even at the cost of giving him an exposed/unefended goalie to shoot at.

Looking at one of my fantasy teams and noticed Pavelski has one assist and is -4 in the last 14 days...WTF.

I don't think TMac walks if we lose, but the pressure is insurmountable on him and Dougie Wilson, so either way something will happen.

Sharks lose 3-14. I finish the rest of the pumpkin pie in spite of having a second burger to finish eating.
