Why Is Boullion Called "Cube"?
I've always wondered this.

Because those cubes of chicken flavouring are called "Boullions"

I think its for two reasons:
1- He's small and large, i.e.: built more like a cube
2-His last name ("Bouillon") can be translated to broth or stock. So, the nickname can be related to the oxo cubes (chicken and beef broth).

Bouillon translates to 'broth', as in those broth flavored cubes.

Slight tangent on Boullion, but Home Ice channel on XM satellite reported this morning that Boullion had knee pain pop up during his offseason workouts last week. They reported this in one of their "around the NHL" minutes, so figure it has to be relatively bad if they took a few seconds to mention it. Also, knee tendonitis issues with another blueliner, but I didn't catch the name.
