I know the nhl thinks this is a big suspension, but its ******** that is a very dirty play, there is no need for a play like that. Had this been Torres it would have been 10+ games.
Good thing the lockout stopped all these crazy money deals.
The purpose of the lockout was never to stop 'crazy money deals'. It was to a) reduce the players share to 50% of HRR and b) stop back-diving deals. The lockout accomplished both.
Honestly, there's no reason for people to be complaining about these cap hits. The second the league announced they wanted term limits, fans should have known this was coming. The high end players aren't going to take less salary wise just because players who signed contracts in the last CBA had their cap hits artificially lowered.
So how about dat Columbus? Gaborik and Comeau today. Solid roster pushing for a playoff spot with THREE 1sts this year...
With 3 firsts this year and potentially a playoff team already they are going to be a very good team for a long time. I love the moves they have made and I really hope that the Rangers miss the playoffs it would be so funny if Columbus made the playoffs and the Rangers didn't
Problem with St. Louis, is they're healthy.
Not only will they make the playoffs, but they have the ability to upset any of the top 3 teams, any day of the week.
Pick goes from a sweet 15/16, to a not-so-sweet 24, 25 lol

if they get the same halak that showed up for montreal in the playoffs a couple years back they are my darkhorse in the west.
Giguere calls out Avs for being " embarrassing ", if Miller or Cammy did this they would seem to be whinny or a locker room cancer. Will be interesting to see how JG is viewed by his teammates and by the nhl.

Looks like Ovechkin's back into form; he currently leads the league in goals with 26. Good for him and good for the league - the Pens/Caps rivalry was terrific to watch.

Traded for him for RNH at the start of the season in my fantasy pool. Feels good man.

What a steal. I honestly can't believe how many people counted him out. He's has tremendous talent and I really don't see how that could just disappear.
