It's gotta be Boston, it won't though cause they are both too good, ideally it would be Toronto in 1st round, Philly in the second then Boston in conference final....top it off with a Canadiens Blackhawks final, that would be historic, cause you know if we face weak teams the critics and media will say it was easy for us cause of weak opponents

Rangers are a team that can easily be under-estimated.

Teams I don't want to face are Sens and Pens. Pens for obvious reason...sens because they always have the Habs number for some reason.
They are a grindfest team and Gaborik doesn't scare me at all in the playoffs. Two way players are critical in staving off lower line production.

Boston especially since their fans would rather have the Pens as they don't want to see us in the POs lol.

It's always the best spot to get if you don't win home ice. 3rd place is usually worst than 6th anyway...

Looks like we won't have Bos-Mtl matchups this year. At least in the 1st round. Will have to be 2nd round or ECF for that to happen.

The B's will be waiting for you if you get there.

As for the 1st round, I see a Habs-Rangers matchups as being the most likely (4th vs 5th). With the way you play the Rangers, it may be a sweep.

As long as we can avoid Boston and Pittsburgh in round 1 we should be in good shape.

Toronto vs Montreal would be fun.

Toronto would give me the most happiness if we won and the most rage if we lost

Voted Winnipeg, but only because I don't think Philly will make it.

I honestly don't know where our weakness lies - I have no idea of our strengths, we look really good but it could be a rosy impression. I guess I'd like to play a team with not-so-great special teams as we take a lot of penalties and our PP isn't as lethal as it could be.

So, no, not fkn Boston.

Probably 52 or 54 points. So 5 or 6 more wins.

I would like to face the Devils. They are not as strong as they once were and not really physical which would ensure we are in good shape for round 2.

I would want the Habs to face either the Rangers or the Flyers (if they make it).

If not them, it's between Carolina and T.O.

Winnipeg. The atmosphere in both buildings would be amazing, and it's a playoff matchup that probably won't ever happen again because of realignment. Also, it might be an easier matchup, as Montreal fares well against them historically (even last year, when the Habs sucked) and they might just happy to have made it (see 2007 Thrashers and 2009 Blue Jackets)

Definitely not Boston, at least until a later round (though, barring a spectacular tailspin by either team, chances are they'll be first and Montreal will be fourth, or vice versa). I don't particularly want to face the Rangers, as they're talented (if top-heavy) and have a great goaltender.

Obviously any soft team that won't get too physical and wear us down.

I don't give a crap about 'payback' against any particular team, I just want to win. Let Boston play Toronto in the first round and bang each other up. Let their Island Of Misfit Fans slobber over every bell answered, code followed, moral victory fought and strong hockey play made, and then let them pull out the Excuse Thesaurus in search of lame reasons why their big tough team lost to us in the next round.

Winning - against anyone - is the best revenge.

This team would drop the Bruins as long as they keep a cool head. Let Circus Claude do this thing to the media and those clowns run around. The team would win, I'm convinced of it.

The Leafs would be an insanely fun series and could take it to six or seven but their defence is nowhere near the Habs and they are not even a lock to make it with their current play and whack goaltenders.

Winnipeg would be ideal. Stay away away away from the Rangers

Not sure I want WPG. That's a team with size and a crazy home crowd. You could be looking at a 7 game series.
