“We’ve had the flu running through here, obviously he has something a little different. He hasn’t been able to shake it and he’s been a little bit worse here,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “For three days he hasn’t really eaten. We’ll see how he is today, it’s his first day without a fever and being able to eat.”
Richard Bachman on taking over for Kari Lehtonen in the game
“After that first TV timeout (Lehtonen) talked to (trainer Dave) Zeis to let them know and they came and told me he was sore. Then he was kind of fine, they didn’t have a lot of shots, but then he nodded to me after getting up from a save right before that final timeout. Then I knew for sure (I was going in). I had at least 15-20 minutes to prepare and it was nice because it was earlier in the game, you’re still a little warm from warmups.”
Doesn't sound too serious for Kari. Just being played too much and needs a few days to rest.
Foreigner looking for some advice on the team here, do you guys think that Kari will play this week or that he'll just be benched for the rest of the season because his amazingness will probably lead to the Stars getting a worse draft pick?
Championship week in Fantasy Hockey for me and it would be pretty huge if Kari could play for me but if not he should obviously be dropped.
EDIT: Well, I just realized that the Stars are still actually still very much in the playoff race, I just assumed the loss of Lehtonen had really hurt them over the past few games. I assume he'll be playing ASAP then.
Good luck guys, my fantasy team hopes you win all your games!
