Biggest Name to Move on Deadline Day?

The teams are so close, I can't even think of a guy.

Are we looking at a deadline day with 10 minor trades? The biggest name moving maybe being Filip Kuba?

Iginla won't be moved. Trade deadline will be all bark and no bite, as usual. Biggest name I see moving is possibly Bouwmeester.

I disagree, Jbo won't be going anywhere but I think both Gio and Iggy are moving this year. Gio doesn't fit on this team anymore and Iggy is getting a shot at the cup.

It won't be Iginla. Feaster makes his moves early. If Iginla is a Flame 2 weeks from now than he is likely staying till at least the summer.

Trade DD is in 2 weeks. Hasn't been a whole lot of chatter, some Perry speculation but he's re-signed..

Iginla, now that Perry is signed the price on him has gone up. Interested to see where he will go. Im feeling fairly convinced hes gone.

My gut says this is finally the year Iginla gets moved. I think either to LA or Pittsburgh but Boston is also a possibility. Just depends who's willing to pay the most.

at this point with Perry re-signing, i feel Iginla is the biggest name moved on the TD. i wonder what kind of offers the Pens could make for Iginla and/or Giordano...

(i'm talking about real offers, not the ones that have been proposed in every one of the 29774732 Iginla threads)

I just don't buy the Iginla rumors. I think there's definite interest out there and probably has been for years even when he wasn't "available" but I'd still be surprised to see him go. I think the captain goes down with his ship. Iginla's not a guy I see wanting to leave no matter how bad it is. I'll believe it when I see it.

I suspect we'll see a flurry of trades especially from the bottom-feeders, as usual. The only real sellers I see at the moment are Florida, Buffalo, Washington, Calgary, and Colorado. It's just too close. Of course that can and will change by Deadline Day.

Like I said with Iginla, I'll believe it when I see it. Miller, maybe, considering how bad things have gotten but still I doubt it. Although, Ruff was fired and no one ever thought that would actually happen so who knows? Vanek though, no chance IMO. Vanek, Miller, and Pominville are the three common names being thrown around from the Sabres besides Regehr, Leopold, and Stafford and the former three aren't part of the problem. Moving any or all of them makes us significantly worse.

From Buffalo, Regehr, Leopold, Stafford, Weber, and Gerbe are guys I could see going. I'll be pretty pissed off if Regehr goes but the other four can go and make sure the door doesn't hit them on the way out. Also wouldn't mind dealing Sekera or Ennis if we're putting together a package for another player in return. I don't want to shop those guys but I wouldn't be opposed to moving them for the right return if it allows us to acquire a good player. Hecht and Scott could also be choices to get something for but neither of them hold really any value. Hecht could fetch a sixth or seventh, even FC, but we won't find it worth it and will just let him retire here out of respect unless he really wants to go to a contender.

With the whole Kaleta situation, maybe they ship him out, although I won't like it. Things aren't good between him and the coaches and teammates right now so I could see it happening. Only safe players really are Hodgson, Ott, Vanek, Pominville, Foligno, Ehrhoff, and Myers. Everyone else has a chance at being moved IMO although Miller is a slim one.

Maybe not the biggest name but Vinny Prospal to a contender seems almost a sure thing.
