Well it also helps that Getzlaf decided to try in a contract year. Now that he has his long term contract, it's only a matter of time before he decided to stop trying again.

I would have preferred that they lost 4-1 or worse. Now they are going to think they were close in this game.

Interesting stat:
Marleau 9 in his first 5 games.
6 goals since. All 6 have come in losses.

Marleau loves scoring in losing efforts. WCF anyone?

Yup, 20 minutes of good hockey = pass for the night.

Thats how Marleau rolls. He only tries when he knows the team is gonna lose no matter what.

Demers improved our breakouts, but it wasn't night and day after the first.

Gotta put more distance between himself and RW in the win column first.

Sorry, I was a little busy studying. Your faith in the Sharks being able to score 3 goals has been rewarded.

Obviously at this point I'm mostly implying fire the coach or start selling assets. Trading for a band-aid would be the dumbest thing he could do, and won't work. He needs to do something or he'll be fired though.

I wish Dallas and Phoenix would start winning. Last place in Pacific and top 5 pick sounds good.

He was only a -1 because he got off the ice before the goal was scored by Beauchemin. There was not one redeeming quality about Thornton's play tonight.

Pretty good, for someone who has every right to be super rusty. Had a lot of good chances.
