To be fair to TMac...he didn't say he was pleased with it. He just said it was better.

Yeah, he didn't say anything that wasn't true.

I'm not disagreeing with the sentiment that TM is not doing his job as a coach for this orginization. I'm just wondering if firing the coach will even change anything this season.

The Sharks board will blow up if they lose to Edmonton.

He was okay. We are definitely better off with him than without him.

You don't say! Hard to mess with Irwin-Boyle though. But Boyle had do-too-much-itis tonight. If nothing else that may make the case for bring Burns back on D.

I think the way Boyle sees it is if he cedes the blueline to someone else, they aren't going to be able to generate better offense than him. And he's mostly right, so having Burns on there at least gives Boyle some ability to feel okay with getting the **** off the ice.

Well he's not wrong. Frankly I thought we played the ducks pretty well for how ridiculously hot they've been and how ridiculously cold we've been.

I haven't been on the Fire T-Mac bandwagon like some of you but a shakeup is needed. He's definitely on the hot seat if he's using the word "quit" as if implying that he's hearing people are accusing the team of quitting and tuning him out. So he's making sure to say the team isn't quitting on him.

Interesting stat:
Marleau 9 in his first 5 games.
6 goals since. All 6 have come in losses.
I hear ya, preferably worse. This team needs a wake-up call, maybe a lop-sided embarrassment can do the trick. They aren't nearly as good as they think they are and it causes them to get behind the 8-ball to often.

We're angry that we're having to say this again in the middle of this season, I wanted him fired last year...I didn't have any high expectations for this year because I knew it was just going to be a continuation of last years failures due to tmac.

In an 82 game season..he would have been gone already.

The statement still stands. He played with jump and was arguably their best forward. He put more shots on net than anyone on the team and had a few chances and set up a few also. If anything, he looked quicker than he had prior to his injury and had the right mentality in terms of shooting the biscuit. He had a lot of pluses to his game tonight...hopefully it lasts.

I'm past angry, I've become apathetic. I also didn't have high expectations for the Sharks at the start of the year. The first 7 games made me think I was wrong. I still wonder if changing the coach at this point in the season will change the fact that they play like **** every game. I guess the Sharks could save some money by doing it now instead of later. After the failures of last season and the abysmal showing this year, Todd Mclellan doesn't deserve to keep his job. I think the time to do it would have deffinitely been at the end of Feb. Now it feels like it would just be a move to apease the fan base and not really accomplish anything, so it doesn't matter.

Responding to the LA game like that would not qualify as an improvement in effort to me. He said there were a lot of passengers last game, and they were still along for the ride this game too. The mental and physical lapses were that of the teams the Sharks were playing against in the first 7 games. And now it's the other way around. That shows as a team that's either unprepared, or unwilling. Honestly, I don't know which it is, but I prefer to assume the former. Easier to fix and all...

TMac gets paid unless he takes another coaching job.

That's right, I forgot. I was thinking it was like my job where if I **** up and get fired I don't continue to collect a check.

The whole anaheim team is and you sort of see why. They play a fast counterattack game and the bounces are definitely going their way, which springs them left and right.

They also force a lot of turnovers and that helps their counter attacking.

Which makes me think that the PDO isn't accurate for them.

Some teams have the personnel/strategy/etc. to have a higher than average shooting percentage and save percentage...there is also a lot of shooting skill on that team.
