No way...its all puck luck and bounces.

BTw ... once again, reffing was noticeably bad. They literally weren't calling anything unless players were being blown up. They only called the interference when a player was literally flipped over.

It really sucks how when the other team is speedy, they call interference tight so we can't check the fowards, and when the other team is big and physical, they call it loose so we can't draw any calls.

Very much so. I mean they were getting sprung on random bounces and making tic tac toe plays all over the ice then somehow the puck hops over our sticks on our chances. It's been like this for the Sharks for a while now.

When is Doug going to re-sign Handzus? I'm getting worried he'll leave in the off season.

Yeah I was being sarcastic. The Ducks are a really solid team. As tonight shows they make you pay for mistakes.

Or maybe..just maybe the Ducks are better than we are? You make your own breaks more than you are given them.

I'm expecting him to re-sign Irwin anytime now, he can't wait much longer or Irwin is going to get PAID if he keeps this up.

Pretty much. The puck started to bounce really badly in the third period and it went both ways (Bobby Ryan had a uncontested shot in the crease, but it bounced over his stick).
The ice looked alright for the first two periods, too bad the Sharks didn't.

On a brighter note, Demers looked pretty solid and got a goal tonight. I hope that buys him another game.

I'd laugh, but I wouldn't really be shocked if he got benched next game.

PFFFT, he was benched next game after he threw himself out of position early in the game that allowed the 2 on 1. He could have had a hat trick after that and Tmac would still have benched him.

I don't blame Demers for that btw, he was just trying a little too hard, and the forwards should have been covering him, and they uhm.. didnt.

The ice played okay but it looked like garbage. The patches of off-color ice was just awkward to look at.

He was a free agent already, could have signed with them then. Though the way he's being coached he may want out as fast as possible...

Another good reason to fire Tmac, to give the free agents some hope for the damn team next year.

Also, I could see Irwin turning into a Curtis Foster type

Sharks are back in the playoffs with the Kings beating the Coyotes.

He's played pretty good all year, including this game. Tmac is just insane.

The underlyings don't say they are that much better. They are not a 3 goal better team than us. Our atrocious slump and their ridiculous streak is responsible for that.

That was one for the Ducks, I saw at least a half dozen for the Sharks, so it definitely wasn't even.

Tell Irwin and Burns to start targeting nuts like Blake did. No one wanted to block Blakes shots because of it, I'm not even joking.

So the Sharks have just been unlucky and not outskated and outchanced and outworked in the majority of games this year? I don't buy it.

Heard this story a few times this season ... of course Blake was also huge so if anyone had a problem they could try to take it up with him.
