Yeah. IIRC the cast alone should stay in the foot for ~6 weeks, then there's rehab with length varying depending on the degree of the sprain. So he's out for at the very least two months so effectively, he's done.

Even if he came back for day 1 of the playoffs he'd still be near useless for 5-10 games.

I currently have an ankle sprain.

No chance in ****ing hell Booth comes back in less than 2 months.

Hopefully saw his last game as a Canuck.

Good ****ing riddance to David Booth. What a failure.

I hope Kassasin come back soon......he may not be scoring but better than the AHL players on our team....... put him back with sedins to spread out offense

Agreed. When Kassian is healthy the lines should be (until Kesler returns):

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Burrows - Raymond - Higgins
Weise - Schroeder - Hansen
Sestito - Lapierre - Pinizzotto

At least there's some semblance of proper roles with those lines (although the "third" line is a bit muddled). That's part of the problem, I think, is that aside from the first line, there are no "roles" on this team. Lines are just rolled out there for the sake of being rolled out. Even when we're dealing with injuries, we should try and form some sort of "top 6" that are clearly defined "scoring lines".

Yeah, so then we can get something in value in return. I've tried sticking up for Booth ever since we acquired him, but he's making it far too tough to do so.

Hopefully Booth is done as a Canuck permanently.

I'd like to tell Booth not to let the door hit him on the way out, but seeing as how he likes moving with his head down so often, he'll probably just walk into it.

They showed him with crutches still in the press box.

So most likely not two weeks away.

Going to be on the longer end of the expectations for when Kesler is expected back, I would think, but I think it's for the better anyways.

Getting real tired of this ********.

Watch the games, he's been one of our better players as of late despite his numbers.

Am I allowed to look on the bright side and say all these injuries are gods way of making Vancouver face adversity or are we still doing that whole #tankforseth garbage.

Not that it means a whole lot, but a friend of mine ate lunch beside Kesler on Sunday and he was without crutches and according to her no boot either.

Regardless, he's still a ways away. I'd be happy if he were back by the 10th for the game against the Flames

I've broken my foot a few time like he has. If the boot is off, shouldn't be too long before he's comfortable enough to put it back in a skate.

A 2nd degree inversion sprain of the ankle (one of the most common) has about a 6 week turnaround time in professional sports, probably slightly longer to fully rehabilitate and recondition for game shape. with the timeline on this season though unless the Canucks make a deep run there's probably no chance he comes back early.

If it's a 3rd degree sprain with damage to the ligaments, or a high ankle sprain or if there is any fracture to any of the bones in the foot/lower leg you won't be seeing him until the SCF or (more likely) next september.

Re bolded: Amen, brother. The Booth hate has really gone over the top.

As for the other bit, sure, you're allowed to look on the bright side. You'll be lonely, but go for it.

Agreed. He's been gaining the zone and generating chances. If we had anything resembling an organized puck support strategy, we'd have more finished plays.

I hope we can get some bodies back in the line up before the Edmonton and Calgary games at the start of April, otherwise I've blown way too much money flying in from Calgary to catch 2 games...

Hopefully Booth is good to go next September, has a decent year, and signs a contract extension around 3 million per. The hate will just fade away...
