A conditional pick isn't going to get you a Jeff Carter.

David Clarkson is a free agent this summer right? I'd really like that guy to play alongside Kesler.

Plus I don't want the Bruins to get him.

That would be a huge pickup. Still would like to see a playmaker on that line as well.

Well, now that we're on the precipice of being a seller, no doubt he'll change that equation. Do we have another Grabner to throw in to the next offer? Operators are standing by...

I'd like to see Vancouver sell.

That's a guy you pick up and then half the fanbase complains because he has the same problem as Booth: not converting on chances and can't pass the puck. 1 goal, 3 points in last 15 games... Definitely a good player though, just don't know that people have realistic expectations for an acquisition like that.

Jordan Schroeder?

Everyone wants to toss him around in deals, yet they complain about the Grabner and Cody deals.

So much contradiction in the complaints of MG among Canucks fans.

This Canuck team is not your Alyssa Milano LA Kings... More like the actress from Identity Thief...

The key is having a centre/linemate who can utilize his abilities... Not like hoping a one-eyed face off specialist will carry our third line and have a Chicago Wolves freshman for backup meat...

It was tongue-in-cheek, although I'm not sold on Schroeder. He's no gangbusters in the AHL, so my expectations so far are very, very limited.

I don't think Cody Hodgson's AHL numbers in his time here were that impressive either, Micheal Grabner wasn't exactly lighting up the AHL either, back to back 40+ point seasons.

No kidding. Clarkson is in a good role there though - here he'd be mediocre.

Grabner's first AHL season he had 20g; 2nd season 30+.... And he's not a midget.

Grabner had 40 goals in 80 games one AHL year, season and playoffs combined. His abilities were obvious.

Hodgson 1st year saw him get 17g in 52 games, and then he was up. He was more physically ready, injury aside. Hey, Schroeder could be ready next year, but right now he's not a good fit for what they need...

And Cody Hodgson wasn't a good fit for what we needed either in 2010/11.

Schroeder is in that boat right now (although he is a bit better player at the NHL level than Cody was then)

So should have traded Cody before aswell? For a rental player? Or someone average who won't be the answer to the cup question mark, and will be less beneficial than Schroeder next year on a cheap deal?

I just can't understand HF logic: Whine about Grabner/Hodgson trades then propose trading Schroeder/1st/prospects

We would never want him at that money. Cap hit going down

I am going to laugh my a$$ off when the Ducks are stuck with Lecalvier 2.0 and 3.0

I'd be interested in him at $2-2.5M assuming interest in him is low around the league (although I wouldn't at all be surprised by some team being suckered into giving him a $5M contract).
Somebody should go through each team and find their self imposed caps and find out how much money there really is to go round.

I could see the Wild buying him out but he will go for more then 2.5 man He gets 4 million Semin term.

Damian Brunner is a UFA...

Has some skill. What will he get ? I think Detroit will get out-bid by somebody.

Just pay the price and get Roy/Ribeiro...should have acquired one of these guys when they moved this summer.

It's so obvious we need a 2nd line centre who can run the 2nd PP unit it's sick....should have probably have gotten Jeff Carter for Cory Schneider last year.

When Kesler gets back he can either be our shutdown centre or our 2nd line powerforward (both of which we also need).
