Oh I'm sure of what happened. The gm statement is incorrect and stating he was fired because of this is wrong as well.

He wasn't rated that high. At the time he was a late 1st. Taking him 7th would have been akin to taking Graham 6th.

Hamilton exploded, while Graham has somewhat leveled off.

If the organization was not a mess, the situation doesn't happen.

Liggett does need to work on his feet. From my perspective he was good going backwards and gap control was strong. He won battles with his strength. It was forward that needs more developing. With the a strong offensive defenseman, this can be masked. Id personally use a 3rd on him.

Well, I have no interest in arguing over a message board. Ill be at the Combine next week, happy to talk about it there. I count Dave as a friend, hes talked to be about it, so somewhere, someone has not been given the entire story, be it you, me, or Dave Brown lol.

I agree, it is water under the bridge, and I feel bad bringing it up.

Lets move on to the interesting prospects blog.

My only issue was suggesting that players who are rated highly are only there due to an agent. Most teams feel that they are high end players.

I agree, lets stick to the players on the ice my friend.

- I don't see first round talent in MacArthur
- Spencer and Konecny are both great talents and either could go above the other based on talents.
- I was disappointed in Korostelev's OHL Cup performance.
- Big fan of Blake Speers - smart, smart, SMART player. I just wish he'd shoot more
- Very impressed with Lizotte and Morin from the NOHA Stars. Wouldn't be surprised if both go 1st round (although, Morin likely will go later)

Any information on McAvoy from Elite hockey. Committed? Signed, Intentions? He was very impressive last week
Agree with most of your points above, except for:

MacArthur should be first round pick.

Korostolev played alot better at OHL Cup then in the Finals of the GTHL. His problem was that he had a terrible supporting cast.

Can anyone name me another member on the JRC finalists for the GTHL, that will be drafted in the top 3 rounds (Korostolev and Wilkie only).

Noah Jordan . I agree with that point, the team lacked depth. All things being equal I dont think Korostelev should be a Top 10 pick. 10-15 I see him there. Its very possible he goes in the 6-10 range though.

Jordan may go in top 3 rounds, only because of his size.

I heard that Niagara was hot on his track, and so was Peterborough, if they had 7th pick.

Good skater for his size. Doesnt use his size to his advantage though. Brancatella looks like a 4th, 5th round guy on JRC as well.

Davies and Capobianco might be Niagara options as well.

Is it just me or am I seeing a lot of names mentioned that should be going in the top 10? Just lately I've seen McCool, Davies, and Capobianco as guys that will get picked top 10. Who would they replace out of Konecny, Strome, Stephens, Mackenzie, Crouse, Korostolev, Spencer, Henley, Werenski, and Day if he gets ES?

Which brings me to another question. IF Day got ES and Ottawa passed on him, why on earth would Erie pass on him too? According to Ken Campbell in that Yahoo story, they would. Which I find very hard to believe.

They'd likely replace Werenski and Day as there both not for sure things.

Also I was just looking over the Petes picks in the next few seasons...

2013: 2 2nds
2014: 3 2nds
2015: 3 2nds
2016: 4 2nds ...
I think the Petes will be making some moves in the offseason.

kirwan has a late birthday - so after he's finished with NTDP he'll still have a year to kill before he can be drafted. that might be why he's trying to make sure he gets drafted by the knights...because that's where he wants to play in his birth year. although, i don't know why the knights would use their 1st on someone who won't come for another two years.

Hes signed on with the US NTDP, which is a two year commitment.
I knew he signed in the us, thats why i said if London drafted him, they wont draft him without certainty he would report. I thought it was his father, it may just be a relative.

Good skater, not tough. There are a couple of boys from the GTHL that I would take over him. Problem is you can't teach toughness, with his size he will need it at the next level.

I believe that the hounds own the Petes 2nd round pick. "Findlay" trade/

Yes the Petes would have had 3 this year. Traded that one, have two left.

Nice List. Jake Lawr is a 98 though.

Do u thnk the first goalie is taken late round 2 or round 3? I think Adrian Clark will be one of the first names called.
