DEERFIELD, Ill. -- It doesn't sound as if Derrick Rose will make his long-awaited debut Monday night against the Denver Nuggets. Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said it is "unlikely" Rose will return as he continues to rehab from a torn ACL in his left knee.

I don't care if Satan himself did. The kid doesn't want to play basketball right now. Can't people just leave it alone? The Bulls are fodder with or without him anyway.

Refs hand the game to Denver. Worst 45 seconds of NBA officiating I've seen since the Sacramento/Lakers series in '02... now that's saying something.

I was at the game, and I was completely stunned the call was overturned with the use of video review by that crooked officiating crew.

Yeah, the Bulls should not have let Wilson Chandler make the game a dunk contest, but the Bulls earned the right to have a 120-119 lead with 1.7 seconds left. In the NHL, guys get suspended without pay all the time. This needs to happen with officiating in all major sports starting now. These guys need credibility. I don't understand how you make the correct call on the floor and then overturn it when you have slow-mo replays and better looks at the play. That just reeks of rigging. It was a great game, but I am spending more money on the NHL now since I feel the officiating, though not great, is still more reliable and honest than the NBA.

**** you, Stern.

IU, is there a way to look up the ratings for the Bulls game and Hawks game yesterday? I'm curious what the difference was.

What made the call even worse was the questionable offensive goaltending by Denver like 5 minutes before Noah's. If you're going to make a ****** call, at least be consistent from both sides.

I actually looked into it just about an hour ago, I was curious when I heard Mac and Spiegs wondering what it was. I have access to a site at work that I can get them at.

Unfortunately, there are 3 issues:
1) the site didn't remove the listing that had the Hawks game on CSN. So there are numbers for CSN, and I assume those are the Bulls numbers, but I'm not 100% on that. The time slot is also messed up. The site has CSN doing a 2.4 from 7-7:30, a 3.2 from 7:30-8, and a 3.7 from 8-10:30. For the sake of guessing, let's say the Bulls did a 3.5 total, since it looks like the beginning did bad and we have to take out the last half hour after it ended.
2) CLTV did a 4.0. I don't believe that number includes the HD alternate channel on Comcast, the alternate channels on DirecTV and DISH, etc etc. So I don't have the Hawks exact number (could be as high as 7 for all I know), but they won on CLTV viewers alone.

That play was not called basket interference on the floor and didn't warrant a review. Noah's was not called basketball interference on the floor and warranted a review. It's a double standard. Where's the consistency?

1. No idea how there was conclusive evidence to overturn Noah's FG with 1.7 left.
2. Koufos' tip-in was a far more blatant case of offensive interference.
3. Refs didn't review 2 and did review 1. Despite making no goaltending call originally on either of them (which is a ridiculous requirement in the first place - that rule will be changed this offseason, I imagine).

Nuggets fans are claiming Noah's tip was clearly illegal. I've yet to see firm evidence to suggest that. But either way, the Bulls got screwed on three counts. They didn't even need both #1 and #2 to win the game - just one of them would have been fine. 1 point win or a 3 point win, no difference in the end.

There is no firm evidence, Chris. It's all up to the officials' judgement. They claim the trajectory of Marco's shot was such as that it would get rim. It's a judgement call. If Koufos' basket interference, or non-call, was reviewed, maybe the Bulls aren't imbounding the ball with seven and five seconds left looking to tie. The game could very well have shook out in a much different manner. I mean, it's overtime, so one little thing has a big impact in crunch time.

Saw Boers and Bernstein's rating up against ESPN 1000, lol. Thats a beat down, no wonder they are switching it up.

Thank God I get to work at 8:30. I couldn't bear listening to cowturd.

And not a shocker, though I do like Carmen & Jurko.
