why? Saryarka was 1st after regulars, Toros 3rd. Is it not like best meets with worst? So Saryarka vs Ariada Akpars (12th)? If Ariada Akpars wont qualify, so Saryarka should face the winner of Sputnik/Buran

Right, my wording was bad, so it will be Toros vs Rubin(probably) and Saryarka vs Sputnik/Buran.
Saryarka did lose against Sputnik in their last meeting, and Toros vs Rubin match-up should be a good one. I didn't mean that Saryarak would be playing Toros, just that they were playing well, my bad.

Interesting. If I remember, Loko wants its reserve team in MHL (or Torpedo?? dont remember). Maybe having KHL, 2xMHL, VHL is too much for them? And as we know, there is many clubs which want to join VHL.. not space for all

What club of current VHL is located near Yaroslavl?

Sary looks unconvincing after that long W run, but Toros again looks impressive. Unless Tolpar goes deep, they could even get some more help from Ufa, making them even better.

Seems like every team wants Sary-Arka to win. First they played against the 16th, then 13th and now 12th. It's almost impossbile to have an easier walk through.^^

Saryarka Karaganda, as newcomer, and Toros Neftekhamsk meet in finals.

What are budgets of VHL clubs? I read an interview of Lada directors, who said that Lada had budget of 5 mil.euro (216 milions rubles) this season, but some clubs had budget around 9,8 mil.euro (400 milions rubles). That is true? Best club of slovak extraleagu - HC Kosice - had budget 2,7 mil.eur, no team in Czech rep had NO close to 10 mil.euro. Dont know about Finns/Swedes

I am sure that Saryarka/Tyumen'/ mb Torros are close to your numbers.

Saryarka is not really a newcomer, the club has been around for a while and has assembled a very serious (by VHL measures) roster.

I also think that a few VHL clubs can have budget of 10 mil. euro, but majority has around 4-8 mil euro IMO?? That is crazy money if compared to slovak league, Kosice 2,7 mil euro, Nitra 1,3 mil euro, rest less than 0,7 mil euro.

Saryarka, sure but they are formally a newcomer. It is good for VHL if financially strong clubs join.

I'm not sure if that's true. It just doesn't seem right that they have such a big budgets yet no really expensive players. Meanwhile Kuznya with reportedly even smaller budget were able to sign Robitaille and Sopel VHL clubs could only get few fringe KHL'ers and Todd Perry? It just doesn't seem likely.

Great job by Karaganda today, 2nd goal was a beauty.

Oh and P.S., your posts were in last year's thread

1) VHL cities are not attractive for foreigners
2) there are limits, if I know only 2 foreigners (no G) - russian clubs
3) why not budget of 5 mil euro? Slovan had this money in slovak league, it is average (+/-) budget of euro 1st tier clubs I would say. Yes, only a few VHL clubs have 10 mil euro IMO.

I can imagine that VHL clubs will have budget 5-10/15 mil euro in future and KHL clubs will have 30-40 mil euro. Will be fun if I am right, 10+ years.

1) I really doubt someone offered a good salary would find Voronezh, Perm or Tyumen too repulsive to play in. And I'm not only talking about foreigners, with budget as big as 10 millions you're in play for legit KHL players, foreigners as well as Russians.

2) That's even bigger reason to get really good imports instead of just some bums.

3) I have no problem with 5 mil budgets, they are probably close to that amount but I couldn't imagine a budget twice as big. What do they spend all this money on?

Quote:
there is written what I wrote earlier, bold parts budget 216 mil.rubles, it is not the biggest budget in VHL (better said, not so big budget in VHL), if we want to play at least SF we need minimum of 400 mil.rubles.

I dont say all VHL clubs have 10 mil. euro, but 2-3 clubs for sure. Maybe a few teams belove 5 mil.euro. Who knows?

If compared to euro leagues, budget of 5-7 mil. euro is above average, 10 mil.euro is super-class. There is no doubt that VHL budgets can raise, no chance in Europe to do the same. I say about next 10 yrs.

VHL is 2nd tier, I am comparing it to 1st tier in Europe (SWE, FIN, SVK, CR). NLA is above these leagues I would say.

as I said

What happen if I am right?

Btw, as we all know, VHL/MHL will be govern by KHL HQ since next season. Now, all 3 leagues are connected, but govern individually.

I can only repeat myself, what do they spend all this money on? Such a relatively huge budgets would reflect themselves somehow and yet there's no evidence whatsoever to support these words. Just because some crook said so in the interview doesn't mean it's true. Although maybe he's not a crook, maybe he just doesn't have an idea what he's talking about. Maybe both, as far as I know that's pretty common in Russia, isn't it?

That's a reliable source about Lada's budget but not more than that.

It is your opinion, I say you are wrong. I have no problem to believe that Rubin has 9-10 mil.euro.

Quote:
There is said that biggest budget in 11/12 had Rubin (14,5 mil USD=11 mil euro).

Minimal budget for this season - 100 mil. rubles (2,5 mil.euro) Last season it was 70 mil.rubles (1,7 mil.euro).

I see, you have no problem to believe much like a lot of people had no problem to believe in the end of the world few months ago. That's exactly what separates belief from an actual fact, reasoning doesn't support it.

Also, that's a pretty interesting piece of information I found in your link:

"В обозначенный бюджет "Лады" входит содержание не только основной, но и молодежной команды, 70 млн руб. - минимальный бюджет для участия в ВХЛ, 85-90 млн руб. - нормальная сумма. Так что у нас средний бюджет. В "Ладе" нет больших, сумасшедших денег. У нас нет игроков, получающих $10 тыс. в месяц. В "Ладе" зарплата хоккеиста $3-4 тыс. - это нормально.

So that link supports your argument as much as denies it. Also if Rubin has such a huge budget, who are that expensive players on their roster? Or where do they spend that budget? Why they can't even win the regular season with a budget supposedly 2-4 times bigger than the other teams?

Your argument with 85-90 mil rubles is NONSENSE in this season. As you know, info is from previous season, when minimal budget was 70 mil rubles, now is 100 mil rubles. How can teams have less money that minimum?

I dont care where they spend that budget. SKA had also much bigger budget that they needed, right?
