Howden is strictly a winger. Hasn't played one minute at center this season despite the lack of depth at times.

Clemmensen, this year, has proven that he's clearly not that guy.
Oh I definitely agree with that. I don't want Luongo, though. Bishop would be nice. If not, maybe Mason.

With Parros out too, I guess Selleck centers that line?

I believe Selleck is a winger, as well.

Soooo if Kopecky goes to the third line, who goes to the first? He's also not a good center at all. Jesus, what a mess.

Yeah, I just read he's replacing Parros.

So:

Flash-Goc-Kopecky
Hubs-Shore-Mueller
Santo-Skille-Upshall(?)
Howden-Smithson-Selleck

Right?

Yeah really, it's ridiculous.

Are Kulikov and Upshall officially back? Goldie said both were on the ice this morning and both were yesterday, too.

Maybe move Skille to center and either promote Santo to line three or play Howden on line three? I don't know.
I totally forgot steeger is out..

great for the tank i suppose..

He is, but he has played some center this season. Not sure I'd want him there for his NHL debut, but he could do it in a pinch, I would think.

I'd sooner put Santo at center than Skille.

EDIT: Is Matthias definitely out or is it gonna be a game time decision?

Probably more likely to put Santo or Skille at center.

I've grown to like the Ben Bishop idea as well, could Ottawa use the services of Goc? I feel Goc is either worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Ottawa could use a Goc like player if they feel they could go deep in the playoffs. I love Goc but if he can provide us a solid combo of goalie giants I'd be down if Tallon pulls the trigger. Markstrom could get 50-55 and Bishop with 25-30 games next year. Trade Clem for a 6th-7th round pick if need be to anyone that wants him.

Is Bishop worth more than Goc alone? Maybe a late pick added from us? Thoughts?

I'd say Bishop and a early-mid pick. When Goc is good, he's pretty good.

It is crazy how many players have been injured/missed a game.

My proposal was basically the same exact thing.

We get Bishop and they get a package involving Goc and a pick.

It has to be more than Goc to get a goalie like that, imo. Look at what Columbus gave up for Bob/what TB gave up for Lindback.

I think it's worth it.

We have goaltending issues right now, and Matthias' play has made Goc a bit redundant. I say that as someone who likes Goc, but you gotta give to get.

i'm really not that impressed with Bishop, i didn't think Lindback would work out in Tampa (for different reasons), either.

Bishop is big, but that's all he has. He's not impressive in any other aspect of his game.

Lindback is athletic, but his technique is awful and flops around way too much. reminds me of a bigger Hannu Toivonen.

if we're going to go the route of an unproven goalie, i'd rather sign Anton Khudobin as a UFA this year. i like his game alot and wouldn't cost anything to acquire.

Khudobin would be fine with me, too. I believe Panteras has mentioned him several times.

Howden Santo Skille will be horrible defensively but they all have some serious wheels.

Can't believe a guy that went to SUNY Oswego is going to be playing for the Panthers. I graduated from there in 1994. Damn I'm old.
