I seriously hope so, watching those highlight packages that someone posted on the Canucks forums, Laganiere impressed me far more than Sustr.

Hopefully we land him it would be a great signing.

Interesting. He's a centre so he probably sees the Canucks centre depth chart as an advantage for him. Pittsburg already has 3 great C's for the forseeable future. Van only has 2, 1 of them is injured often. Edm has a lot of great young players as well. Should be interesting.

i would love to see the Pens pick up this guy if they don't land Sustr...

although, sadly, it's much more likely that they land neither...

Not expecting anything and will be pleasantly surprised if we get Laganiere, or Sustr for that matter.

He attended Oilers rookie camp this past summer and didn't stand out, but he's put up good numbers at Yale and has pro size already, so I can see why he's sought after.

Pens have a better selling point on forwards with the likes of Crosby/Malkin and Sutter.. IF i were him I'd choose the pens tbh. Sustr might be tough because of all the D prospects.

you must of watched a lot of him at Yale, seeing as you're so confident that he'll play center.

He has played some RW in college from what I've heard. No idea what position fits him best in the NHL though.

It's how we got Ben Lovejoy (team mate of Nick Johnson).

that's pretty much what i was getting at. he's had plenty of success at RW so it seems premature to speculate that he'd make his decision based on an NHL team's center depth.

He's listed as a center, thus it's natural to assume the Canucks would be chasing him for that reason. Am I missing something you apparently think you know the answer to, and i don't?

Just read it. Might as well be talking about a generational talent with a scouting report like that...

He needs to work on stickhandling or he'll never make the offensive zone without a dump in. Needs some more 'slick' to go with that size and hustle.

He should go to Vancouver, they have a great club and there is much room opening up at centre.
