I just look at every game with pessimism. Partly because this roster hasn't shown me any reason to act differently, and partly because when they do win it's a pleasant surprise. Better than expecting wins and being disappointed.

That said, 2 in a row would be nice. 2 goals in a row would be great too...

It's strange how happy that makes me. I'm not calling it coming back down to earth just yet, but I'd enjoy if he never scored again.

I think what the Rangers lack this season is goals, what with being tied for second to last in the league in GF.

Stu and Rupp have combined for 4 goals in the last two seasons. We sure are lacking their prowess.

I like this current one a lot. I swear that 9 or 10 different posters asked why I changed. The other is too popular. It's become bigger than Bob Richards.

I for one, am ecstatic that Rupp is gone and Stu is in the press box most nights.

The Rangers could be tougher and score more. One is slightly easier to fix then the other.

Some of Sauer's physicality is missed. Callahan and Boyle don't seem to hit as much as they used to. Dubi obviously has been missed there. Our forecheck has less bite to it.

We don't seem to fight any more, but that I'm not so concerned about.

Wish this were a home game. I hate their ugly arena and their obnoxious fans.

I doubt he would even put Marty in if Moose got lit up. Moose has been better the last week, but I feel he's prone to pitch a stinker at any time now.

Personally I find their arena to be the obnoxious one. Never calls back.

I've now played four games on NHL 13 against the Devils, and Alexei Ponikarovsky just doesn't relent. He will score tonight.

5-2-7 through 4 games.

I remember one game in NHL 07 I had against the Sabres. Biron had a 67 save shutout against me.

Luckily for us, we have him.

Marty will not be put in because this offense will not chase a goalie, ever.

We could have Torts chase him around with a stick and a skate blade...

I wonder what Torts is like in his personal life. It'd be awesome if his game talk was like his RL talk.

I can picture him teaching his kids how to drive. "ARE YOU GONNA STOP ON ONE TONIGHT?"

Incidentally, hockey personalities would make for some good instructors.

Its pretty simple:

The Rangers have to be careful on their breakouts. The Devils are probably going to stack the wall. They like to outnumber the Rangers 2-1 on the boards.

If the Rangers can be controlled/deliberate out of their end. They will nullify much of the Devils offensive pressure.

If the Rangers don't do that, it will be an ugly game..
