"The main part, hopefully, it helps our intensity. We haven’t been even close to intense enough this year,” goaltender Braden Holtby said when asked about the impact of Laich’s return. “And a guy like him, he brings it every day and I hope he can be a big leader on this team because right now we need it."

the C is the guy who talks to the re, if your a leader you'll lead without a letter. this stupid fantasy that things will change if someone else was captain is just silly.

Go Caps! I want a win over the Pens.

Also, I want Ovie, Backy, Ribs, and Laich to score. And Matty and Ward. I dream big.

I hope for another strong game from Mojo. And a good showing from Orlov. Other then that 2 points for the Penguins. It does not hurt anymore the pain has passed.

Meh, it is either 6-1 Pens or 4-3 caps. Bring back the torpedo!

At the time Ovechkin was a Hart winning player. No one could match his effort level or passion for the game. His lack of discipline was noted but the organization hoped the "C" would challenge him to grow as a professional. Unfortunately, they kissed his ass at every turn while the league did the opposite. Mixed messages, anyone?

Oops.

Now he's jaded, spoiled and responds to criticism like a bratty 15 year old girl.

Huge organizational FAIL from top to bottom developing this player.

Yeah. Ovechkin's fault. Not the organization that had the coaches telling him to tone it down or hell the NHL being *********, which appears to be being rectified, the GMs are going to talk about the fact there is way too much diving to get boarding calls.

Not a good recent track record in "big games" against playoff teams.

I heard on the radio today that Holtby said this team hasn't been anywhere near the intensity level they need to be. Well, why not?? When are you going to start?

Sweet. The Caps are up from "seeing backup goalies" to "resting star players against us".
