And honestly, that's why I ****ing love SFY. We have so many guys ready to come up and play. Next season our top 9 is going to be ridiculous. We're going to be able to roll three good ass scoring lines, with a good fourth checking line.

Edit: Now if we could stop going 11F 7D. Boucher.

Exactly the right thing to say. Can't wait for this kid to join the rest of the Tampacuse Crunchbolts.
He has a higher ceiling than any we've seen, save maybe Panik.
He was one of the best players in the WHL, and then he was one of the best players during the 2012 WJC, and now he could finish as one of the best players in the AHL this year. It's really encouraging that he was able to get his touch back this season with the Crunch.

And the Tampacuse Crunchbolts- that's so fitting. It was kinda funny seeing Johnson score his first goal tonight and be surrounded by his former AHL teammates Conacher and Killorn. This team could be taken over by Crunch developed players, and I'd love that.

That's been the one fun part this season I guess is instead of guys like Trevor Smith and other AHL vets being used as call ups, it's finally the young guys turn. Johnson, Palat, Panik, Gudas, Conacher, and Killorn have all made NHL debuts this season and have done some real exciting stuff. The future is good.

Connolly wasn't only player with 2+2 last night, Kucherov did it too.

Kucherov is just 3 steps ahead of nearly everyone in the CHL, hope he gets to play in the AHL soon

If his team loses early in the playoffs he can play in the A this year. Same with Paquette, Sergeev, Richard and Witkowski. With all the call ups they might get a decent look, not sure who'd sit or get sent to the ECHL.

As much as we enjoy the love from Tampa, remember that this team got its start in Norfolk and carried over the work ethics here to Syracuse.

Dylan Blujus had 2 assists in a 5-2 win, bringing point totals to 29, 2 goals in 68 games.

Anybody seen him play and how his game looks? For a 2nd round pick who's supposed to be more of an offensive defenseman his point production seems low. He's got good size but im sure needs to bulk up more and will be back in the CHL next year. I think he'd be about 3-4 years away from any NHL action.

Isn't he a physical defensemen who's offensively gifted? I think he plays more of a defense-first mentality. But yeah, he does seem to be a few years away from NHL action.

Anyone read the Lightning's top 10 list from THN's Future Watch? Lightning scouts are a lot higher on Nesterov then I thought, considering he's ranked higher then Brown, Panik, Vladdy and Killorn.

Nesterov looked great at the WJC, so I'm not surprised they're high on him. Hard to keep track of what the kids are doing overseas, though.

Just checked out EliteProspects to see how our boy Andrei is doing. 8 games in the KHL he has a .924% and 2.22 GAA, and 27 games in the MHL he has .930 and 1.93 GAA. Especially his play in the KHL... that's impressive for such a young kid.

Not sure if posting the list would be against the rules or not (for some reason I don't think I can) and I can't find a link.

Wow, good to see Vas doing so well. Kids gonna be a good one.

Regarding Nesterov, like you, the only time I ever watched him was during the WJCs.I agree, he looked great during the last tournament. Hopefully he comes to Syracuse next year (or maybe this is already confirmed?) so I can watch him more often. Looks promising.

You sure? There was a Habs thread back in February which posted the top 10 prospects in the league as well as the top 10 prospects for the MTL organization.

Ah, what the hell.

1. Andrei Vasilevskiy (25th in NHL)
2. Brett Connolly (53rd in NHL)
3. Nikita Kucherov (68th in NHL)
4. Slater Koekkoek
5. Nikita Nesterov
6. Mark Barberio
7. Vladislav Namestnikov
8. Alex Killorn
9. Richard Panik
10. J.T Brown

Its weird that Connolly is ranked, considering he wasn't last year due to being ineligible or something.

Nesterov is a little too high for my tastes. Definitely not above Barberio or Killorn but I can see a case for 8-10 being made.

Yeah, it's definitely interesting.

I should probably add that the list was submitted to THN from the Lightning.

If I'm not mistaken, Conacher is still a prospect? Isn't it surprising that he didn't make the top 10? Also, I think Panik is a little too high, Palat or Johnson would make more sense in that position.

Well Crabby did say the list was handed to THN by the Tampa organization so I guess they don't see him as a prospect?

When was the list submitted by Tampa? If recently it makes sense why no Conacher and Killorn is low as they consider them NHL players more than prospects now. I guess Nesterov is above Barberio cause his game is safer to transition and succeed in the NHL. Panik should be above Johnson and Palat as his upside is much higher thsn either of them.

Great 1-0 win for the Crunch tonight against a division opponent. Coop is a hell of a coach realizing that when the opponent is just playing to limit your oppurtunities you might as well play to limit theirs more. Barbs was especially physical tonight which I haven't seen that side of his game. JT Brown was hitting everything around him and had a fight. I love his energy. He was with Ang, and Jacques tonight. Ceddy wasn't challenged too much but everyone blocked shots cleard the front of the net made good outlet passes out of the zone. Great win Great hockey game.
