You should be thinking about below 8M now and even that seems a stretch.

Seems like Iggy is going to be moved according to Bobby Mac, well at least the process has begun. He gave a list of either 3 or 5 teams (LA, VAN, DET, PITT, BOS) he would be traded to.

Hopefully not Pittsburgh or Boston. Pittsburgh for obvious reasons and Boston because it could nix a potential deal for Briere with them if he waives that NTC.

Hmm just thinking about it, I wonder if Briere would work well in Detroit? I know it's a long shot, but there is rumors that Filpulla is going to leave via free agency and he could slot into their 2nd line center. Just spit balling, I know it's not probable, but there's always a chance...

Would love to be able to trade him for anything so that we can save a buyout just in case we need it for Meszaros or someone like that.

You can trade Mez easily.

Here is an example:

Mez to lousy team for a 7th round pick.

Done.

Its going to suck having them in our division next season. They are the western conference team I have been cheering for for the last 4 or 5 seasons. They look like they have a great foundation. And we are going to have to face Bob a whole lot more

A couple of games looking good for the tank crew right now. Washington like you said, Florida is tied with Carolina in the third and Buffalo winning 2-0 over Montreal.

Ha, it eases my heart to root for other teams to improve our chances at jones for us rather than rooting for us to lose.

Haha I agree! Florida actually takes the lead against Carolina too. I swore with my post it would jinx the **** out of all those games.... still plenty of time left though.

Kostitsyn seems to be trending now. Look at Anaheim's first goal against the Sharks yesterday. Now everyone but the lone defender decided they'd rather go for a change

Absolutely unreal how resilient the Sens are. Losing 3-1 in the third and lose yet another key player, win 5-3.

Tank Tracker:

• Columbus 4 / Nashville 3 FINAL
– that was pretty wild, the Bobs were up 4-1 with 3 min left.

• Florida 4 / Carolina 1
– Yay, Panthers. Climb out of 30th spot!

• Buffalo 2 / Montreal 1 (12 min left)
– Go dysfunctionabres!

• Washington 1 / Pittsburgh 1 (17 min to go)
– Way too much time to get excited here; if Washington wins, Philadelphia moves 1 rung down the Shame Ladder

This a new position for me. I'm not used to score watching the bottom half of the league.

Come one caps. Win this game so we don't have to hear more about Crosby.

Caps losing now 2-1 and Montreal just tied the game with about 3 mins to go in the third. Even when we suck and don't play we can't catch a break.
