A lot of interesting bands... but the one I've always wanted to see live but never have is the Dropkick Murphy's. They better not do any Boston team tributes in that concert, though.

I saw Dropkick at ottawa bluesfest two years ago just after boston won the cup and they were selling t shirts of the band with a bruins logo on it and on the back it said " Bite this Burrows". Good live show.

Was really disappointed with Rockfest. Was looking for a reason to go, but it seems it's all over the hump punk bands and bad chug-core scene bands.

Would only really be interested in Manson, killswitch and rise against. The rest, meh.

Meh. I go to Warped Tour when the lineup is good. Might trip to Toronto, there's a couple bands I wanna see. Depends if my friends are going. Although Kevin Lyman said that he's trying to book a special fest in Montreal at the end of the summer to compensate for the lack of WT.

And yes. Pouzza fest is gonna rip. So many good bands. I have my schedule planned out. So stacked I'm even missing bands I like.

I'll be at Montebello for the 4th time.

Me and a bunch of friends always rent the top floor of a residence on Montebello's main street, 2-3 minutes away from the site.

First time I went there, the headliners were, like, The Misfits

But then it was Lamb of God and NOFX, and last year was Korn and Dream Theater.

It's also just plain fun.

This year? Mainly looking for Dropkick, Deftones and Rise Against. Manson and Cooper, IN THE SAME VENUE, could also make it really interesting, even if I really don't care about Manson's music.

A bit disappointed in the lack of non-core metal bands though. I mean, just The Agonist would've been great, and it's not like they're far away. (yeah, I know, they're core-ish).

Argh. Does this fest have a pretty good financial rep? I was there for a day two years ago kinda by random chance, but haven't really followed its history in general. It is my ideal type of lineup, but not exactly a family fit, which ends up being a factor for me. I would make an exception for a great lineup and lots of security in the purchase, but... the slow release of lineup and this... is there any cause for concern? Or "no worries".

They also cancelled Heavy TO this year... Something is obviously up.

Black Sabbath, Steel Panther, Of Mice & Men, and A Day to Remember are some names that floating around on twitter right now. Very meh (with the exception of Black Sabbath obviously).

Seems to be pandering to the scene/metalcore crowd. Not surprising. The audience for "metal" is dwindling, and the ones with the money for concerts are teens who listen to Rise-Records metalcore. With no Warped Tour in Montreal, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of Heavy MTL bands are similar to Of Mice & Men and ADTR.
