buffalo can get a better deal elsewhere. They are looking to rebuild so a 2013 #1 pick is what they would want in any package.
Good luck getting a first for Regehr or Leopold.

You can never know what contenders will pay at the deadline. The media was laughing at Regier for demanding a 1st for Gaustad - and he got it.

Leopold will most certainly not fetch a 1st though, you're right.

They've each played 11 games, and neither did much playing over the lockout.

The biggest thing we can take from this year is that Allen looks like he's ready to take over Elliott's role as the backup, which might end up saving the Blues a million or so next year.

I think Regehr is going to LA ...

Leo maybe to the Blues.

Dave Davis ‏@DaveDavisHockey 45m

Sabres scout in LA tonight & last night. Kings scout in Montreal tonight. Plus I've noticed a few writers saying Regehr's value is going up.

No thanks. Ott isn't going anywhere.

Pominville is a better RW then any of those players you listed.Pominville is the 7th highest scoring RW since the lockout. He is a proven 65+ point player who can play both ends and is a captain. He may be 30 and a few years older then the Blues' RW, but as of now he is a better RW then any of them and would immediately be an upgrade.Pominville would probably be the best Blues forward. He would most certainly be the best offensive forward ainec.

Pominville has scored 60+ points in 5 out of the last 6 seasons.Stewart,Oshie,McDonald,Perron,Steen,Backes ,and Berglund have 4 seasons combined of 60+ points...one less then Pominville.

Leopold will definitely return atleast a 2nd round pick...he has been traded for a 2nd round pick 3 times in his career! As for Regehr, he MIGHT possibly return a late 1st round pick, but a 2nd+3rd is more likely.2nd+3rd is the established value for a proven top 4 vet d-man going off the last 2-3 deadlines.

So you are suggesting that it is a good roster move for the Blues to shift Oshie, Stewart or Tarasenko to make way for Pominville?

Where did I say anything bad about Pominville. There is just not a chance in hell we are paying what it would take to get Pominville, especially when you consider our budget and the players we have to resign.

I love Pominville and I'd consider the Sabres my 2nd team, so I already know how good he is.

Maybe Gauthier is interested in trading for Tomas Kaberle... again.

If you move someone like Stewart out for a D-man you've been looking for.... sure.

Scouts at games means nothing. Not sure why so many people put stock into scouts of teams being at other games.
