watching on a stream i couldn't tell how Filatov's rebound didn't go in for the GWG: post? over the crossbar? save?

or maybe just the old saying that FIlatov don't do rebounds lol?

I can only talk for Germany but even many non-hockey fans from here know SKA St. Petersburg while they never heared something from Severstal or Amur.

SKA is really doing a lot in social media to get in contact with fans from outside of Russia which I really appreciate!

Ak Bars also win game 5 and lead 3-2 now!

To be honest I barely remember ever seeing a team playing that terrible in defense during overtime in a playoff match as Ufa today... Kazan had three 1000% chances within 2 minutes because no defender stood on the right spot...

That looked offside to me. Thats why the players were talking to the refs after as well. Still no overhead replay of the goal shown so there is no way to be sure!

It was a good goal. The replay was shown right after the game on KHL-TV.

Anyway, props to Bulanov and the mates. It was a tough call to make on the ice, but they did the right one. It was obviously some logical reffing in this game as opposed to game 1.

Anyone seen any questions within the Russian media about putting Kuznetsov and Nichushkin on the same line?

They are both at their best on the right wing and Chistov - Bulis - Kuznetsov have been playing together for years. So I am absolutely sure it won't happen.

Tarkki's actions honestly deserved a delay of game penalty.

A great game! Happy for Sopel to win it, hope he'll join the short list of players having won both Stanley Cup and Gagarin Cup.

A fully deserved win by Ufa. Already the equalizer in the third period came rather out of the blue.

As I said weeks ago. This will be a very interesting series.

That list must be very short, mustn't it?

Wow. Why? Both teams could win, both teams deserved victory. You must be Vanga to predict the winner in such a game.

Sick series. Impossible to predict the winner. Frankly speaking, much more entertaining to watch than NHL playoff last season, except Pittsburgh-Philadelphia series.

Tried to find it out. I might have overlooked somebody, but it's just three players, and all them are Russians:

Right wing Oleg Petrov. Won Stanley Cup 1993 with Montreal Canadiens (his name was in the roster but wasn't engraved on the cup) and Gagarin Cup 2009 with Salavat Yulaev.

Left wing Slava Kozlov. Won two Stanleys: 1997, 1998, both with Detroit Red Wings; and two Gagarins: 2011 with Salavat Yulaev and 2012 with Dynamo Moscow.

Defenceman Oleg Tverdovsky. Two Stanleys: 2003 with New Jersey Devils, 2006 with Carolina Hurricanes. Won Gagarin Cup 2011 with Salavat Yulaev.

Can both teams loose today? I don't know why I don't like these green teams, but I hope whichever team goes through will get it's ass kicked by Traktor. I want a new champion, even if it means SKA is winning it all.
