I can safely say that this is the most important game that the Oilers have played in years, since late '07-'08 when they made that late push in Gagner's rookie season?
It's hard to believe that a team that hasn't played playoff level hockey by any means can tie for the 8th spot after tonight although 12-11-6 is hardly a playoff level record. I'm sure that if the season started on time, the Oilers would have been well out of it by now but they don't ask how you get there, you just have to get there.

If they play to their strengths which is an aggressive, up tempo game or in other words, play the anti-Krueger system then they have a real chance to win this one.
Get 'er done boys.

Most important game the Oilers have played in probably 5 seasons.

Can you believe it?

Floodgates open tonight

7-6 oilers

6 PP goals in the game

I don't care how we do it - just give us a regulation win.

Just win.

I can't be there but I hope Rexall is loud tonight.

that would shock me. I'd be surprised if the Oilers score even 3 goals.
I forsee a lot of oilers running aorund their own zone getting punished and not getting the puck out.

So, old time hockey? (I.e. Bobby Clarke and Valeri Kharlamov.)

Watch out for your ankles Joe!

I guess we could hope, but I think the Oilers match up well, because they have 3 solid lines with offense and the Sharks can only really match 2 of them.

Not only does the team need to bring a playoff like atmosphere to the dressing room, and on ice, I think it's key that Rexall needs to be rocking too. No more playing games with 30% of the crowd getting excited.

Going to the game tonight thanks to my neighbour.

Already most excited I've been since the Cup run.

I think (hope?) the Oil will come out firing tonight. Shots galore and chances getting converted. 4-0 Oilers, Dubey doesn't let in a weak one today.

can't blame the crowd with some of the crap seen on the ice, even this season. I think the play of the team should pump up the crowd, and the players shouldn't need the crowd to pump up the team.

I agree 100% that we haven't had much to cheer about, but now we do, and we should, I don't want it to be like a lifeless Oil Kings playoff game, we need to get rowdy, and really get behind this team. Not only do the fans need to step it up, the teams need to bring a whole nother level also

Who is this Stalock fellow? 1 NHL game in his entire career? Are the Sharks doing us a favour?

C'mon, Oilers... I want to stop treating you like the girl on the side that you don't tell your friends about because of the embarrassment.

Oilers haven't strung together 3 in a row yet this year. Stats say they willl lose this one. Its time for them to quit hitting the snooze button on this season.

My optimistic prediction is 3-2 Oilers in OT.

Hall with the winner.
