Rate Your Team's Ability To Clear The Puck On The PK

I'm curious to know how fans would rate their team's ability to clear the puck out of the zone when they get possession on the PK.

For the Sens right now I say above average. Will be elite once Karlsson returns.

Elite for Boston. Being #1 in the league on the PK and it's hard to argue otherwise.

Canucks - subpar. Not sure what happened, but apparently our players completely lost the ability to clear on their backhand. Whenever we have possession along the boards it's passed off in the hopes someone will get it in their forehand.

The PK has been a lot more passive in terms of letting the opposition enter the zone, too. It was a lot more aggressive last game tho so I hope that keeps up.

I've liked Dallas' PK this season.

Buffalo sucks at clearing the puck all the time, ES, PK, even PP, doesn't matter. So, going bottom rung here.

A lot of this depends on how aggressively a team kills penalties, no? There should be a negative correlation between how well a shorthanded team clears the puck and how many open passing lanes there are in the middle of the ice.

Wow, I never thought the day would come when the leafs pk would be top ten in the league (6th). As for the question, I would say above average.

Montreal used to be elite on the PK but Therrien's got them playing an absolutely moronic system on the PK this year. They're trying to scale down the 5 on 5 system which is all about outnumbering guys on the boards, and then they do the same thing on the PK and it just leads to guys being wide open. No excuses for it to be so bad this year other than the system, it's the same players and I don't believe for a second that Plekanec and Moen suddenly decided that the best way to kill penalties is to run all over the ice and try to pin guys on the boards.

I actually think the Leafs are abysmal at clearing the puck. They're very good at everything else on the PK (making it hard for other teams to keep the puck going into the zone, keeping the puck to the outside, basically smart positioning), but for some reason a lot of players on the Leafs do not really grasp the concept of getting the puck out of the zone as fast as possible.
