I didn't realize the Sharks were using Burns on the wing. Anyone know if that's a short term experiment or is he there permanently?

I'm guessing it's to shake things up and see if they can get things going again because of the slide they are in since they really fell off after the hot start... I haven't read the Sharks boards for their view on the move.

Definitely makes for a tough looking 1st line combo though.

On paper this game looks winnable for the Oilers... struggling road team that's slowly sliding down in the standings.... plus the Sharks are one of the few teams that are putting up fewer goals than the Oilers.

Sharks have just an average PP but a very solid PK so it'll be tough to count on much of an advantage on special teams.

It feels like it will actually be a pretty close game... I'm still saying the Sharks edge the Oilers though... 3-2... possibly in OT or a SO.

I just think the Sharks have the type of team to match up and get by the Oilers more times than not.

I don't think there's a person on this earth that's a bigger Oilers fan than me.

I read that it's an experiment. I believe they've also put Murray up there?

Burns has played forward in the past though with the Wild so its not like anything new.

it's been way too long since that has happened

I wouldn't even be surprised. He seems to have a bit of fire back lately

The new season ticket system with the cards is absolutely terrible.

yeah i'm nervous about this game, which is a good thing... even if we lose and end up last again this year, at least i got to experience this feeling once more... first time in about 5 years, since the 2007-09 season actually, when we went on a tear at the end and almost made the playoffs (cogliano, gagner and nilsson were ripping it up at the end that season)

I'm assuming that to do away with scalping? That does blow cause if I bought season tickets and had to leave for a two week vacation over a long home stand I'd love to be able to recover my costs.

I was told you can still get tickets but it costs extra. I'm sure scalpers were definitely part of the decision in changing to cards.

So are we going to play a must win game with two centres because the Oilers are too stupid to carry more than three centres on their roster?

Most frustrating thing about it is that it means Yaks is almost guaranteed to get the shaft.

Hall Horcoff Hemsky

Hartikianen Petrell Brown (can Petrell play centre?)

Who needs another center when you can double shift Smyth?

Double shift which? Gagner and Horcoff? Nah, triple shift Smytty, that'll do the trick.
