So was Vail when they added his profile with no info on it, should be fixed in 1-2 days.

Every other sites (hockeydb, echl.com, eliteprospects) say he is a forward.

By the way, that's what the current Bulldogs lineup could look like :
Tenute-Bournival-Holland
Blunden-Nokkelainen-Leblanc
Chaput-Vail-Quailer
Belzile-Stortini-Hagel
Lefevbre

Beaulieu-St.Denis
Pateryn-Ellis
Stejskal-DeSantis
Merth

Tokarski
Mayer

IR : Nattinen

ECHL : Fortier, Leveillé, Avtsin, Delmas, Corbin

I'm sure you're correct. I had a feeling he was a forward but was too lazy to double check.

Is DeSantis back from his personal leave?

A lot of right handed defenders on the farm.

Good reading about Myles Bell. Intriguing undrafted prospect indeed.

Where I'm standing Myles Bell should be assessed on his hockey ability and the Habs with their many picks should contemplate drafting Mr.Bell before another team does. He's a gem of a talent, one more step in the SC direction and a feather in the cap for the Team that drafts him IMHO.

It'll be interesting to see how he reacts to this. Whenever I saw him play I thought he was solid. Maybe he can get some confidence going down there.

Another player joins the Bulldogs

San Francisco Bulls ‏@SFBulls 49 min
Dean Ouellet has been loaned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL; gets first AHL call-up

Seems like the Bulldogs have some kind of agreement with San Francisco.

Dogs are short a lot of players lately. Dumont, Avtsin (granted he doesn't play often), Tinordi, Fortier, etc.

So, they sign these 2 to pto and to play them, but refused to play Avtsin all season long ?

Doesn't make sense, but I wouldn't really be routing for either of these players to make an impact/ have much of a future with this organization after this season.

So what's going on with Avtsin? Is he actually getting sent down to the E?

Also, I feel like it says something that he's staying in NA.

It's really puzzling

I wouldn't expect Belzile and Ouellet to play much games for the Dogs. Maybe they'll keep them around just for the weekend.

The season in Europe is almost over.

The Habs and Avtsin will probably solve this "issue" during the summer.

Belzile has actually some talent. Did very good as an overager last season in the 'Q. Very crafty with the puck. Worth the tryout.

Somehow, you have to think that Avtsin has no idea how to play hockey aside from the blue line to the opponent's net. There has to be an indication.

Anyway, nobody will be surprised to hear that he's going back in Europe in the summer. We'll see how he progresses then.....

He should not have come over to the AHL at 19. It was a mistake.

Looks to me like the coaching in Hamilton has been a big issue all season. I hope we make some changes there in the off season.

Way too many players not playing to their potential. Cant have someone down there ruining all our prospects.

Avtsin should have been played all season or sent down to echl way earlier.. His development has been screwed up by the habs.
Actually he should have been playing regularly last year... cant believe he has been sitting all year again.

If I was him i would have already went back home. or beat up the coach and then gone home....

on an other note, how is the quality of the production of the AHL games? i had the package for a few years but gave up on it as the quality was very very poor. Terrible sound quality, terrible picture, stupid between whistle crap on the screen and missing puck drops for in arena commercials during stopages that run past puck drop. It was just a really pis poor product that was way way over priced.

so, has the quality of the broadcasts improved at all? dont want to waste any more money on the crap i had to watch before.

Why didn't he play in the Q again? I forget the backstory, but he was drafted by Roy, wasn't he?

His rights belonged to the Junior de Montréal IIRC. He could've played there with Leblanc. But I always doubted he would've came over to play in Junior, when he could have played in the KHL.

I've watched Belzile on multiple occasions over the last two years. I was surprised he didn't get an AHL deal after his OA season. He has elite vision and puck skills. He might lack a bit of explosiveness and size though.

He had a slow start in the ECHL this year (1 point only in first 10 games), but then he produced at PPG pace for the last 30 games.

I found this highlights video on Youtube, he might be able to contribute offensively in a weak Hamilton squad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0092cCBNxGU
