I've really like Kobasew's game this year in his limited minutes. Chucky seems to have gotten faster this year. What'd I say about Olver? He's a good player. I have no qualms saying he's a much better hockey player than McLeod, as some one called me out on saying that earlier in the thread. He's got some good skill.
Will be interesting to see what the lineup is like next game. My guess is SOB is back in for Elliot. There's no way Olver is coming out after this game. Also doubtful Palushaj is out as he had a good game. It's going to be chippy out there so I'm guessing Bordeleau stays in. Hejduk might be out for McGinn. Jones probably stays out.
3rd period was a good example of what happens when you have centres with functioning 2-way brains. All of them kept breaking up passes and had good defensive plays.
I don't mean to sound like an Oilers fan *derp but RNH is such a good 2-way player blah blah* but honestly one of the reasons we win games like this is through the sheer talent of the centres when all of them show up.
Olver is Downie-light, put him back on that old Lando/ROR line and see how it goes.
Yeah, Kabasew was a +4. But Olver's 3 points after being a scratch for so long was huge.
agreed, way to make a statement, probably more impressive considering, but almost everytime kobasew was out there, he was wheeling, making plays happen, aggressive on the puck, wish he would play like that more often. other times he's been playing like jones of late.
Seems like the team just said after they saw how the stars were playing like little *****es...'oh yeah, take this...here's a contribution to your playoff push'. Nice to see. I fully expect we'll lose next game.
I half-expect Olver to be scratched.

The only way we "miss out" or "come up short" for a top 5 pick is if we make the playoffs. All of the non-playoff teams have a chance at the top 5 pick.
I don't think that's accurate. The new thing about the draft is all non-playoff teams get a chance at the #1 pick. (Not top 5)
