R. McDonagh for V. Tarasenko

Blues get a great young LHD defenseman to play with Pietrangelo

Rangers get a great young scorer to score.

What's up with Kshahdoo always trying to get the Blues to trade Tarasenko?

Not going to happen from either side and for good reasons.

1st - not always, 2nd - Blues won't get what they need with out giving what other teams need. They need a LHD, and have a lot of wingers. Rangers need more scoring and have a lot of defensemen.

Not likely to happen, but Blues would have to add, IMO.

EDIT: At least at this point. If Tarasenko sustains the success over a longer term, than the value could be there.

Its been forever since we have had an elite offensive player, Tarasenko could be that guy, no way we trade him.

Mcd is a proven talent, solid 1st pairing dman, elite potential and has already been top 10 in noris voting... stl would have to add.. but nooway it happens.. both teams are happy with who they have..

plus we missed our chance picking him in the draft, when we shouldve.. but we got McIrath, aka the undertaker coming up through the ranks soon..

Logical and potentially fair value.
But McDonagh is a proven commodity, Tarasenko just getting started.
So no for now.

Just out of curiosity, what would Rangers have to add with MDZ for Tara? Or, because of cap, MDZ may not be available. What about Marc Staal?

The only reason I way no is the Blues have been waiting forever for a true superstar forward and vlad is the closest they have come (and know I am not saying he is there ore ever will be) to having a yound stud offensive dynamo on the team. And even saying all that its still temgting passing that up...For the Rangers its an easy no as they always have superstart dynaic forwards and if it were another team who Tarasenko was on then they migh make the trade of vlad +...I almost feel sick saying no to something like this but Vlad looks to be the rel deal and like I said its just been to long waiting for that forward to come along. And I see no incentive to the Rangers making this deal other then a forward who is cost controlled in the Gaborik game breaking mold.

As much as I love McDonough, Tarasenko isn't going anywhere. We're going to need him. We are going to need scorers on elc's after this year when all of our RFAs get big raises.

Should've picked him over McIlrath, trade for him today? Nah especially for McDonagh.

Del Zotto for Perron on other hand?

not going to go through the pro's and con's of the deal as there are quite a few pro's and con's

Blues don't do it.
Rangers don't do it.

That said, nice proposal.

Hehe, Rangers are the last in scoring in the East, and can't score more than a goal against pathetic Panthers. Yeah, I understand that fans are all about emotions. But sometime they should use logic.
