Dagoon I agree, his shot has nothing on it, 1/2 the time he miss hits it....

Evidently Lundqvist is starting again, according the the NYR beat writers.

We don't seem to have the same rest concerns for him this season.

He's a 3rd/4th line tweener. Now he is playing with Boyle so there is no offense on the horizon for him even if he plays well.

The ****.

This start has Biron written all over it. Goddammit.

I guess they want Biron to repeat his performance against the Caps this Sunday.

I think Halpern is more deserving of playing between Kreider and Miller, but I get that Tortorella likes the chemistry he has with Powe.

just with Kreider's promotion alone, the 4th line actually looks competent

Wonder if Miller and Kreider can get going with Stonehands McGee centering them.

I don't know why these guys keep misreporting that line.

I think Torts has to give it at least one game with Nash on LW and Gaborik on the RW. Even if Nash plays better on the RW, he's definitely better than Gaborik on the LW. I think its worth it to make Nash slightly worse if it makes Gaborik much better.

Maybe they're hoping by misreporting that it will actually happen.

Happy with that 3rd line. Give them a defensively responsible center and let the kids go to work offensively.

Boyle centering Kreider/Miller?
No offense from them tonight.

Torts will probably switch up the lines but it won't matter. Any line with Boyle is bound to suck. Can't we get rid of this chump already?

Now, I am Boyle hater number one, but let's get something straight...

Boyle is NOT a useless hockey player, he is a useless third liner. Somebody for the love of GOD bump that 3C thread from before the season started, and let's feed some posters some crow

If Boyle was on the fourth line, no one would have an issue with him here. The problem isn't Boyle, it's the personnel employed by the team. With Powe, Halpern, and now Miller around, Boyle is a redundant piece. He'd be a good fourth liner on most teams in the NHL, but I'd take Powe and Halpern over him any day. On the other hand, I'd take Boyle over Asham any day too. If the right personnel was in place, and Boyle could be on the fourth line LW, this would be a non-issue.

Fact is, it's not. Fact is, the posters like myself and others who were clamoring for a true 3C this off-season have been proven right.

For the most part this season, our third line has been Pyatt - Boyle - Miller. That's a COMBINED 12 points. Most of those belong to Pyatt (6) and he got all of those while he was playing in the top 6.

And who would you have them with that will unleash their vast offensive potential?

LOVE this. Hank's playing his best hockey of the year, ride him and let him stay hot. As a goalie nothing sucks more than when you're in a groove and don't have any game action for more than a few days. It's a shortened season with no west coast travel, he can handle it.

Add to that that FLA can score. Even with their injuries, their top 3 lines although not high-end talent rich are comprised of offensive minded players that can make plays in your end. Starting Hank shows that the Rangers know this and aren't giving FLA any chance at all of stealing this game. Never underestimate your opponent.. love it.
