With the new cap system this is what we will see. By the end of this year Getzlaf at 8.25m will not be out of place

Worth it.

Not like Philly has much outside of him, Hartnell and Voracek

(I guess they do, they just need to mature)

Agreed. He will get seven mil and I'm ok with it. Cap adjustments and so forth for the coming future deems that the necessary.

And most dogs and cats are smarter than Cory and Trevor.

Anthony Stolarz....took him with the 2nd rd pick from the Jackets... He will be their goalie of the future, and he will be a good one.

Bryz was real good at the beginning of the year and in a lot of the playoffs last year. The defense on the other hand, they've never been able to find their footing after losing pronger.

I was just over on the Flyers board reading a similar thread, and a few of them said that the guy reporting this is "hit or miss" when it comes to providing info.

Regardless, it will be interesting to how the mad scientist manages the rest of his team going forward if this report ends up being true. Few GM's do what he does to dance just below the Cap.

One question Whammer, and this SHOULD be the Flyers questions to any and all potential draft picks

"What`s your feeling on Astronomy"

I`m assuming Stolarz has no idea what Astronomy is???

Thx for the info too as always

If I had Giroux on my current roster I would break the bank for him too. He is one of the best players in the league IMO-you do what you can to keep him on your roster.

Bryz IMO wouldn't be that bad if he had a team that played real defense in front of him.

Philly has no defense and I am not convinced Lavi knows how to set up a defensive system. He seems to design his teams for wide open hockey and prays his guys score more than the other team.

Ask Kirk about him...and Dom too since he's playing in London... BIG kid... From Jackson, NJ ... I traded for him in my HFL SIM league ... I think he's going to be a real good NHL starter one day... Has the head for it..

Homer will trade Giroux within two years after signing him to an extension that he says will allow the player to finish his career in Philly. See Richards, Mike and Carter, Jeff

Not that I'd wish an injury on anyone, but imagine if
one of the big stars has a career ending concussion like Savard and the club then has to play the LTIR game with $9M a year. It'd be nuts. Can't really spend it in the off season in the event that the player attempts a comeback.

Cap jail.
