Higgins for Boyle?

Yes please. I can't stress that enough.

I'd keep Pyatt, he contributes at least. I don't care about Asham and Haley and the other fringe NHLers Slats is keeping with the big club. Torts also refuses to use Miller as the 3C which is where he should be playing. My ideal lineup come PO time would look something like:

Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik/Nash
Kreider-Stepan-Nash/Gaborik
Pyatt-Miller-XXX (Higgins/deadline acquisition)
Powe-Halpern-XXX (deadline acquisition)

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Del Zotto
XXX/Hamrlik-Stralman
Eminger

Hopefully grab Raymond for a 3rd and some other cheap depth guys. Maybe try to claim Boychuk.

You would thing that the Oilers wouldn't want Boyle for all the same reasons NYR doesn't want him. IMO Rieder will not be in the Oilers future, but he'll not be traded for a questionable player like Boyle.

Rangers fans underrate Boyle. I wouldn't trade him unless for an overpayment.

Callahan? And that one final acquisition would have to be one tough SOB if we lost Boyle, Asham and Haley. Powe and Halpern are good PKers but you can't go to war with that roster against a Boston or really anyone.

As for the Dubi trade, only Scott Howson would accept that package and retain 1.5 million of Dubi's cap. Rangers would sign instantly.

its not even that hes underrated or a bad player its more like hes a drug to torts. if anyone ****s up boyle gets their ice time. some games it feels like hes tripple shifted. its not the player its how irresponsibly hes used. 2 minutes left down by 1 and boyle is out there for a minute and a half

I doubt Boyle moves.

He can't score consistently in the NHL, but as a 3rd liner he's an excellent checker, and a physical presence.

Rangers likely won't improve by moving him.

From the leafs perspective, a possible move with Grabovski could make sense.

Ok, so people are underrating him because our coach is stupid? Boyle is a valuable piece. You need players like him to win cups.

We won't and shouldn't trade him.

Pyatt on the other hand, can be had, quite easily.

Still don't want Higgins, even if he was healthy.

As a Rangers fan, wouldn't be interested in trading Powe. I really like what he brings to our fourth line.

I would do the prospect trade but not Raymond/Higgins.

I would also consider just a Lapierre for Boyle swap.

Columbus new GM said in an interview he felt Dubinsky was over paid for were he fit into there line up going forward.
The GM feels he fits as a 3rd line player and the blue jackets lack forward depth

I don't recall any such evaluation from JK.

I like Grabovski a lot but he just makes way too much for the Rangers. Also, Boyle really doesn't check much. It's maddening at times.

Pure speculation from Garrioch never supported by any other source. He has been butt hurt ever since the Jackets fired his BFF McClean and regularly takes shots at the front office, the team and the fans.
