Lac-St.Louis Tigers

This team tore up Midget Espoir, all year long. At they're best can anyone stop them ?

Does anyone think that they could compete in Midget AAA ?

Their Head Coach is Daniel Drolet in case anyone is wondering.

Former Q player Samson Mahbod was an assistant.

They have guys like Sprong, McFalls and Butler all of whom could go in the first round in this years Q draft.

Sprong put up like 100 points in the REGULAR season.

Thoughts on this team and their amazing season ?

Anyone see them play ?

Impressive Espoir stats but Sprong is the only first round pick in that group.
Would be surprised to see any other Tiger in the top-50.

Dove-McFalls and Butler are pretty good though.

Sprong could go 1st. 100 PTS in a season is a first in Espoir.

Sam Dove-Mcfalls is a good size and skilled.
Butler is also skilled and pretty fast - but his defensive play is lacking. Not too
many 5'6" and 145 pound defenceman in the Quebec league or other leagues for that matter. He should move to forward to give himself a better chance to compete at the higher levels.

A lot of people I speak with tell me that Butler should be a forward.

HQ selected an all-star espoir team and it couldn't compete with the AAA teams at the Reebok Challenge.
The Tigers have some excellent players. However, the 2 games that Sprong wasn't there....the Tigers lost. Sprong will go in the first round but not many others will be selected early.
Some will be heading south of the border to prep.
The Q team that select Sprong will be adding an incredible offensive talent.

Holy S HIT its Hockey Bufff !!!!!!!!! You're alive !!!!!!

I thought you were dead, always great to hear from you.

I'm sure Sprong missed more then 2 games.

Those all star teams were thrown together though, no time to gel.

Where would you draft Sprong ?

What do you think of McFalls and Butler ?

Too be fair too the Tigers, it wasnt only Sprong missing.
T.Butler is far and away the best defencemen at the Espoir level and he too was not there.
Dove-Mcfalls, their second best forward was also missing.

You take away Crosby Malkin and Letang, the Penguins wouldnt win either.

I agree that some will head too prep school

I want to disagree on your Crosby, Malkin and Letang point... Because that happened at one point and the Pens kept winning... But they lost to Tampa in the playoffs in 7 games...

Does anyone know if McFalls or Butler will play Q ?

From anyone who's seen the Tigers this year, is there anyone on the team that will play AAA next year ? Or return to Espoir ?

Happened last year when they still had Jordan staal at centre.
When Tyler Kennedy would become your first centre, it's not happening.

Knowing the lions history, it's impossible too say who will play AAA, no one knows how they think

Touché ! Kennedy's awesome... Just sayin.

Yeah multiple people including players have told me they don't know what goes on there, and they don't know how to get in...

Gotta stop saying Sprong could go first overall lol there's no chance it's going to happen. There are too many other talented players like the Roys, Noel & Beauv. No way a team takes him #1 over them especially with odds are CB will be going #1. They'll make the safest pick possible seeing as they've made a ton of mistake over the last year and need to win fans.

Odds are they'll go with Noel because he's considered best available by many, friends with Bishop, and would be an easy sell to the annoyed fanbase.

Saint John wants Noel, would sure spoil their plan...

I could see CB taking J.Roy.

Sherbrooke will take a F IMO.

Shawi will take a D I think.

Will be interesting.
