Not actually hes alot tougher then Frolov and got into a few fights in the minors something Frolov will never do
Frolov probably will never get into a fight, but if it were to happen, I think he'd surprise a few people. A) He's a big dude, and B) He's strong. He probably wouldn't kill anyone, but he'd keep the guy away from landing punches.
As far as Chistov being soft, not really, as Dirk said he did mix it up in the AHL a few seasons ago, and had like 100+ PIM's.
At this point I would take Frolov over Chistov, considering mainly his higher Points-Per-Game stats and higher future potential.
But since this doesn't seem to have been intended as a Frolov vs. Chistov thread, I will say that I am indifferent towards Chistov and just hope that he doesn't light the lamp against the Kings too many times this season.
The last year he played with the Ducks I thought he was impressive. His stick handling, lateral movement, speed and hockey sense was Line One caliber. I can't accurately remember his "shot". He just needed to gain experience and confidence and I thought he was getting more comfortable by year's end.
I thought he was going have a big impact in the NHL his next year.
The new rules should benefit him. Potentially, he will be better than Frolov.
I hope they both hit their strides. They will be fun to watch.
