Not that I really care, but how did Kaleta get a penalty on that play? He literally just stood there and took the punches, never dropped his gloves, never fought back... And got 5 minutes for fighting?

Also gave us a four minute PP but it's no surprise we didn't score on it. Our PP is that bad.

There's a chance the League looks at it though. Was definitely a cheap shot.

Are you playing tonight?

Thoughts HF?
Indifferent about Orr, not a big fan of Kaleta but still don't like seeing an unwilling participant get tuned.
If someone had to send Kaleta a message, I guess I'd prefer fists over sticks and knees.

I'm watching the have/files game, is scott dressed for buffalo?

I misread the title as "Ott teaches Kaleta a lesson," which wasn't helped when the thumbnail for the embedded Youtube clip showed Ott skating to his bench. I was a little disappointed when I found out what it really was.

Kaleta is a diving ***** that finally got his comeuppance. End of discussion.
Orr dropped his gloves and immediately grabbed a player who wasn't engaged in a fight and punched him repeatedly while the opposing player hadn't dropped his own gloves. Kaleta skated away from him and Orr started teeing off on him. Orr jumped him. End of discussion.

Anyway, these threads never end well and should be locked soon so I'm not going to even bother going further.

If this happened more often you'd see less guys like Kaleta out there.

If you give him nothing then you will encourage more gutless pukes like Kaleta doing everything but dropping the gloves.

As it is refs kind of did by giving Orr an extra double minor.

Great to see Kaleta get that. However, how on earth does he get 5 for fighting? Lol. Sabres should have had a 7 min PP here.

Of course the fact that Scott was beating the snot out of McLaren before Orr went at Kaleta and there were two "fights" going at the same time is left out. Kaleta didn't engage because of the possibility of being ejected.

Yeah. Which is why I'm in here discussing this as Kaleta is on my team.

Kaleta may be called a rat and rightfully so at times; no competent Sabres fan will deny that. But Orr made a rat play in this game himself and it was a cheapshot on a defenseless player who hadn't dropped his own gloves. That's not a legal hockey play and evidently the referees agreed and tossed Orr out of the game.

What goes around comes around. I don't think one person in the league will sympathize with Kaleta
