I think you should take a gamble on Bud Holloway, used to play in the AHL but has developed his game massively during his 2 years in SEL. He's only 25yo as well so still fairly young.

Who? What team will give a 1st line winger for Anderson. No trying to be that guy I just want to know what deal do you have in mind?

I don't buy any goalie alternatives than the Anderson/Lehner tandem. There is a clear line of succession, and Bishop is not in it.

Colin Greening is losing his 2013-2014 spot by the game. He has been completely useless this year. Not only offensively without Spezza carrying him, but as a whole. His effort level certainly doesn't stand out, and he's big but plays small and timid.

Are Holloway and Moller still playing together? I remember a year or two back I was sure that Moller would pan out as an Alfie-ish style player, just not as good obviously. Oscar had a crazy good shot and seemed like a heart and soul type of player.

Möller is a good SEL player, but I don't think he's good enough for the NHL. Holloway and Juhamatti Aaltonen are the best "available" wingers in SEL and deserve a chance in the NHL.

I don't know how well Halloways game would translate to NHL, but could not hurt to give it a shot (can SEL players be invited over for a camp/tryout without burning SEL contract or eligibility?).

Seems like the type that may struggle a bit in tighter ice and more aggressive NHL play, but has been tremendous the last couple years...coming from a Lulea fan.

Holloway becomes a free agent after this season so he's obviously up for grabs.

Can Holloway play LW?

And I'd take a chance on Moller. Could be be a good bottom 6er.

Greening is tied for 5th on the team in scoring with 13 pts along with Silfverberg, Smith & Zibanejad. I'm so sick of hearing about Spezza carrying him but I don't here how Greening was constantly defending Spezza's giveaways. Why aren't you saying that about Condra? He wasn't timid tonight he put Gionta out with a good hit along the boards & led the team in hits. He does a hell of a lot more out there than Latendresse why are you not all over that guy?

Condra's been one of our most consistent forwards all season. Not to mention he's our #1 PKer and a huge part of why it's the #2 PK unit in the league.

Nobody has any beef with him because there's not much more you could ask of him.

I hope Regin is not retained after this year and Gonchar is offered fair market value before he hits the ufa market and signs with a top 3 team in the off season. Other then tonight, i havent seen anything great from Lundin do make him a resign target, our calups have been doing great. As for Latendresse, I want to get him for another season. He hasn't been give a good shot at showing all he can offer. Losing Spezza really fubars how we can judge our ufas.

Here's my .05 (cus pennies are discontinued)

MM Spezza Hemsky*
Silfverbullet Turris Zibby
Condra Regin/JOB Stone
Kassian Smith Neil
Greening

Philips Karlsson
Cowen Methot
Lundin/Benoit Wiercioch

Andy Lehner

*Trade Deadline package Hemsky + prospect for Bishop, Gryba + prospect(prince or puempel?) and also maybe some mid round pick swaps.

Call me crazy, if you will. Doesn't look too bad to me.

After a shaky start to the year Zibby has been looking like this team's most dangerous center every time he's on the ice. Especially when paired with Silfverberg.

Next year it'd be interesting to see the Paulrus roll 3 scoring lines along the lines of:
Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Condra/??-Turris-Alfie (if he doesn't retire)
Latendresse-Zibanejad-Silfverberg
??/Condra-Smith-Neil

I know Maclean likes to use a "pairing" system on forward, swapping one of the guys out occasionally. If I were him, I'd try to keep the Spezza/Michalek, Turris/Alfie, and Zibby/Silfverberg pairings together, and then just adjust ice time in each game based on which line is getting results.

Ottawa is a top 6 NHL team and Patrick Weircoche is our 4th leading scorer.

Imagine what we'd say to the guy who predicted that in the summer?

Everyone is healthy lines:

Greening/Spezza/Michalek (remember when this was our best line?)
Smith/Turris/Alfie (remember when this was our best line?)
Latendresse/Zibanejad/Silfverberg (hey, right now this is our best line!)
Condra/O'Brien/Neil

(Kassian/Regin/call-up)

Methot/Karlsson
Cowen/Gonchar
Phillips/Wiercioch
Gryba

Anderson
Lehner

I'd like to see this to start and integrate him into the line-up:

Latendresse - Turris - Alfredsson
Conacher - Zibanejad - Silfverberg
Greening - Smith - Neil
Hoffman - O'Brien - Condra

so... next year

Conacher-Spezza-Michalek
?-Turris-Alfredsson
Lats-Zibby-Silfverberg
Greening-Smith-Neil
Condra, JOB, Hoffman

just one spot to fill. One of the extras could fill it, or a prospect.

Greening-Spezza-Michalek has chemistry. Why break it up?

Play Conacher with Turris and Alfie, Condra/JOB/Hoff with Smith and Neil

in reality, the 3 LW's are probably all interchangeable. Just need to add one more.

Left greening with smith and neil because they're playing well together right now, and he fits that line's role better than conacher or lats. If condra or job is the other guy though, they can slot in there and bump greening up.

Conacher, Turris, Alfie is too small in my opinion.
