Can I have some whiskey instead? Preferably as old as Larsen looks.

since they called Chiasson up they might as well play him over Reilly Smith.

Ok..so..we're expecting them to tank.

So that means Reilly Smith doesn't turn over or mishandle the puck all night.

Jamie Benn gets a hat trick.

Oleksiak finally dekes guys out of their pants.

Jordie scores and actually checks someone into the boards with authority.

Oh..and Larsen plays (HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH yeah right).

It's too bad that the All-Star game was canceled this season because Jordie could have been a starter.

Kari really needs to step it up and follow Brodeur's lead and score.

While I understand tanking... why now? We've had a bad 2 weeks, sure, but hell a 3-4 game win streak could put us as high as 6 or 7 in the playoffs. I'd wait until the trade deadline before entertaining the thought of wanting to lose games. Beat L.A., Beat Colorado on Saturday, and we're within a point of the last spot, if not tied.

GO STARS!

Serious question... How many years in a row are we going to play this game?

Hell if I know. The problem lies with a poor defense, and an AHL level coaching staff that was brought in to save some coin.

Tanking is never a good idea, especially in a league which has a lottery. At this point, I'd LOvE to take 8th and make a playoff stab at it, and get some time to evaluate at that level.

I enjoy watching hockey when it matters. Right now, 3 points out of 8th, it still matters. It's frustrating, and can drive you straight to the bottle, but it sure beats being a bottom feeder, biding your time for mid-may and praying some ping-pong balls fall your way.

the lottery is a nonfactor. If you dont win it moves you down at most one spot. Sure it would suck to finish 6th this year and then have a team jump you but otherwise its nothing.

The deadline is less than two weeks away. A 3 or 4 game winning streak could put this team in a playoff spot going into deadline day, which we will know means GMJN would look at it and perhaps keep everyone so they can make a push for a spot. I just don't think this team finishes anywhere close to it with the upcoming schedule we have. It's extremely tough to see this team grabbing that #8 spot with the way they've played against the LOWER sided teams. We have all the best teams in the league coming up and with this team's history of the past couple of years, and their start this year, yea...rather just shoot for Seth. Not that they're going to lose on purpose, I don't think they'll have much say where they end up honestly. They're going to get taken behind the shed most nights in the next 19 games.

I think a win in LA tonight (not likely, but hey, happened before) and a solid home showing Saturday night puts us on the right track. However, losing last night was a huge letdown.

On the right track to what? This team is floundering and we're headed straight for another 10/11 finish once again.
